Cocuyo is an emerging electronic artist and producer whose sound reflects the spirited and multicultural energy of Miami. Born in Havana, Cuba to a flamenco dancer, he grew up surrounded by melodies and movement. His childhood home was alive with the sounds of castanets, Afro-Cuban rhythms and the stomping of flamenco footwork. When the lights went out in Havana, he would sing heartfelt Mexican ballads and capture cocuyos (glowing fireflies), a magical memory that inspired his artistic moniker and vision.
After relocating to Miami, music remained dormant until the city's eclectic nightlife reignited Cocuyo's creative passion. Collaborations with musicians from across Latin America, including a Latin rock-pop band in the early years, became a gateway to exploring diverse musical traditions.
Now, with over 15 years of experience blending electronic sounds with storytelling, Cocuyo offers a fresh perspective on global dance music, bringing a vibrant new color and unique flavor to the ever-evolving scene.

I am an experimental, electronic, improvisational ambient soundscape and noise artist based in Asheville, NC and Miami, FL. Originally a spoken word/music artist, I now play iOS-based instruments and effects.

I attempt to create dynamic sounds while pushing the boundaries of frequencies.

Ashwin Batish is an extraordinary sitarist and tabla player. He received training in the North Indian classical tradition from his father S.D. Batish and later created his own unique fusion of Indian classical sitar with pop, rock, jazz, calypso, funk... an example of a few hybrids he excels at. He is famous for such songs as the Bombay Boogie, Raga Rock, Raga Jazz, Casbah Shuffle and Sitar Mania.

Ashwin is also very well know for being an educator. His series of instructional videos for the sitar, tabla, dilruba, dholak, vichitra veena, harmonium that he has produced with his father Pandit Shiv Dayal Batish have become a very sought after commodity by the Indian music student. Ashwin often gives private and group Indian music lessons at his Santa Cruz, California USA facility and is often called upon by various music festivals and universities to perform his sitar and be a guest lecturer for weekend workshops and seminars on Indian music and ethnopop, raga rock sitar fusion.

Ashwin Batish's pioneering effort in worldbeat music called "Sitar Power" has earned him some critical reviews and great respect in the music community. The sitar is ageless in Ashwin's hands. Tomek Regulski is a multi-faceted musician who devotes his practice to the exploration of deeper awareness through sound.  He is a classically trained composer, having received his doctorate from the University of Maryland, where he studied with Thomas DeLio.  He is also a senior student of Roop Verma, internationally recognized master of sitar and Nada Yoga.  Tomek has also received training in the general application of sound as a healing modality from renowned healer Zacciah Blackburn.  Drawing inspiration from all aspects of his training, Tomek has created his own practice in which he uses the sitar in combination with his voice, singing bowls, bells, and drum to create a devotional journey through sound.

In addition to his solo work, Tomek has worked with some of the yoga world's most prominent musicians.  He has performed with kirtan singers Gaura Vani,  David Newman, and Adam Bauer; and he appears on Adam's debut album "Shyam Lila". Tomek has become a fixture in the Hudson Valley's yoga community, including lending his services to the annual Ahimsa Yoga and Music Festival.

Tomek teaches sitar classes at Ananda Ashram (Monroe, NY), and is available for private lessons both there and in Manhattan.
