Mind Against - Several Times (Original Mix)

We are happy to welcome Maceo Plex to Drumcode with the fourth instalment of his Conjure series, ‘Conjure Infinity’. Featuring two tracks ‘Conjure Dreams’ and ‘Conjure Floyd’, both are peak time monsters that introduce two very different elements. ‘Conjure Dreams’ utilises a groovy, melodic bass that is reinforced using tight thumping drums to shatter any dance floor into the universe. ‘Conjure Floyd’ builds into a more ‘heads down’ techno vibe with a very interesting breakdown. Two sure fire tracks to ignite the floor.

I remembered a conversation with a colleague who raved about how AI would revolutionize music production. “Imagine,” he said, ”perfect tracks at the touch of a button!” I nodded politely, but something inside me rebelled.
The first beats of “AI is gone” were born out of this rebellion. Every sound, every nuance was a manifestation of my experiences, my struggles, my joys. I thought back to the nights I'd spent drinking in clubs, the euphoria on the dance floor, the connection between DJ and audience - moments that no AI could ever truly understand.
As the track took shape, I realized that what I was creating was more than just music. It was a statement. Every bassline drop spoke of the ups and downs of life. Every synthesizer sweep reflected the complexity of human emotion.
In the early hours of the morning, as the last beat faded away, I sat back and smiled. “AI is gone” was done - a techno track that carried in its DNA the essence of what it means to be human.
Sure, AI may be able to create perfect harmonies. But can it capture the roughness of a night of dancing? The sweat, the tears, the ecstasy? Can it incorporate the subtle imperfections that make a track come alive? “AI is gone” is my answer to these questions. It's a tribute to the unpredictable, chaotic, beautiful human creativity. In a world increasingly driven by algorithms, this track is a reminder that true art comes from the soul - a soul that has loved, suffered and lived.

From Another Mind first started as a South German party series but soon evolved into a fully fledged label run by SHDW & Obscure Shape. Now it operates as a label and for the fourth release, they've invited a high-profile techno squadron to remix some of their tracks.

Artists like Rødhåd, Dax J, Konstantin Sibold and Ryan James Ford have all offered up their own high-octane and emotive re-imaginings of the duo's tracks but today we feature Tale of Us & Mind Against's edit.

Their remix of 'Die Weiße Rose' is a piledriving techno behemoth, one suited for dark, dank warehouses. Its synths zap across the forefront while venomous kicks thump away in the background.

It's the sort of demonic, mutant-energy track we've come to expect from both sets of producers and we're fairly certain it's going to explode. Check it out exclusively below.

Premiere: Maceo Plex Vs. Swayzak - 5th Dimensional Groove (Original Mix)

Tale Of Us present a new collaboration with Vaal for the sixth release on their Afterlife label. Three years after they teamed up for ‘Concur’ and began to tour together, the trio return with their most anthemic offering yet. Vaal’s hauntingly-beautiful and instantly-recognisable vocals are the centre-piece on ‘Monument’, building on the style of her Wander To Hell EP (AL002). The drums and shimmering synth lines are moody and uplifting in the way Tale Of Us have made their own, arranged perfectly for the psychedelic breakthrough.

On the flip side, ‘The Hangar’ takes a different approach to equally devastating effect. It pumps with added urgency and a thunderous, steely bassline lunges out from the low-end. Designed for large soundsystems and big rooms, ‘The Hangar’ finds Tale Of Us and Vaal at their most direct and it’s something to behold.

Barnt and Stephan Bodzin, two artists whose stand-out performances at recent Afterlife events have made them firm favourites with the crowds, are tapped for the remixes (AL007). They both take on ‘Monument’, Barnt opting for a rolling, percussive direction and Bodzin more ethereal and transportive.
