Another tune from a few years ago. I wish it had no resonance with current events but sadly it seems that ignorance, fear, and hate have grown and been given license even more so than when it was originally written.

Apologies to friends who've heard this one already.

Between 'Isle of Tears' or 'Land of Dreams' , I decided on both, as all my family (as far as I know) were all admitted and did much better over here than in Italy, where, according to my relatives, many starved, and then there was Mussolini... 
New York  also had its challenges, with frequent 'shoot-outs' on the streets, and no police to be found when it happened. Unfortunately, the mafia flourished in NY too and the Dons had their men extorting 'protection money' from new immigrants.
