I've been in the scene and DJing for two decades, cutting my teeth playing Hardhouse in Auckland's underground rave scene, clubs, local dance music radio as well as supporting international acts in both New Zealand and Australia.

Techno has never been far from my record box, over the years I have played everything from Minimal to Schranz alongside Hard Dance, Trance, Progressive and even dabble in some some Electro Swing from time to time.

My mixes and live sets are generally unplanned, I prefer to see where the energy takes me and letting the tracks do the talking with long smooth transitions. 

I've loved Hard Dance since 2000 when I first found Megabyte, an amazing Hard House event with great DJs, a unique sound, and awesome people.

Most styles get me stompin, but I find real joy from that bouncy, fun, happy 'megabyte' sound. My mixes tend to favour that, although I can't resist some female vocals, trancey breakdown, or a thumping bass line 🙌🏻. 

Over the last year I have begun including many genres of Hard Dance in my mixes, including techno, trance, hard trance, tech trance and EDM; and always try to include both current tunes and forgotten gems in each one.....

I am dj MAVERICK the one and only have been for over 20+ years, maybe longer since 2001 i recall, im a old school underground hardhouse dj i've always done my own thing with gigs. i've been involved as a crew member and  supporter within the AUCKLAND NZ underground Hard Dance scene. I'd like to think im an absolute badass on the decks my style is my own "who wrote the rules on music':-)so look out!!!! old school tunes, real attitude half deaf and just want to share some love of the good old days and sharing some amazing tunes of an era im truly thankful to have been a part of,real vinyl,real tunes, live gig recordings,hope you enjoy:-)x
