Fed with swiss milk and chocolate, born in England with egyptian-tinted blood, Jay Kay South built his own musical project after great band experiences with Kadebostany (Best Live Act 2015 @ Swiss Music Awards), Mosquito (three recordings, Montreux Jazz Festival and Paleo Festival gigs), Oxsa (recordings, gigs @ Electron Festival, Geneva’s Palladium and Geneva’s Arena), and a few more bands in which he stood as guitarist, lead guitarist, bassist, and back vocalist.

After such collaborations, inspiration calls Jay back on the central microphone to found its own universe, a blend of funk, rock, soul and folk music. Now that gathering talented musicians is done, and now that six songs have been recorded to create his debut EP album « Getting On My Nerves », Jay Kay South is ready to hit the stages again and breathe grooves and melodies into ears, hearts and brains and spread his point of view on humanity, good vibes and love.

Having been the breeding ground for a legion of iconic musical acts in its notable history, California delivers yet another powerfully creative and significant rock band to inspire the next generation of listeners. Recently voted by Music Connection Magazine for the second time as one of the Top 100 Unsigned Bands in the U.S.A., is North Hollywood's power trio Magnetico. 

In their short history, the group have performed shows around the U.S. and in other continents such as Europe, Asia and South America. Other notable accomplishments have included playing on both KISS Kruise V and VI along with KISS and other renowned rockers Steel Panther, Lita Ford, Kings X and Skid Row. As well, drawing more notoriety to the band was their tour across the west coast supporting Steel Panther. Topping the band's most prestigious gigs to date however, was opening for KISS themselves on the 4th of July, 2016 at the AVA Amphitheater in Tuscon, Arizona. 

The group was founded by guitar virtuoso, singer/songwriter and producer Rafael Moreira and had many different rhythm sections through out the years.  Rafael is best recognized for his appearance as lead guitarist on such blockbuster television series as Rock Star: INXS, Rock Star: Supernova, The Voice (Season 3 and 4) and American Idol (Season 9, 13, 14 & 15 finale). His guitar brilliance has allowed him to be featured on the cover of U.S.A.'s Guitar Player Magazine (online) and has performed with some of rock and pop’s most elite artists including Paul Stanley (KISS), Pink, Don Felder (The Eagles), Cristina Aguilera, Marc Anthony, Backstreet Boys, New Kids on the Block, Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Tommy Lee (Motley Crue) and Dave Navarro (Jane's Addiction) to name a few. 

Magnetico's debut album “Songs About the World”, is a hard-hitting release built on heavy riffs, thoughtful lyrics and strong choruses. Songs such as “The Emperor”, “Indigenous”, “Letter for a Friend” and “Avalanche” displays the group's musical vision and their versatility moving from heavy rock anthems to free-form improvised jams. As well, Rafael's blistering chops fill the album and remind the world that guitar solos are still alive and kickin' in the world of rock. 

Their second release “Death Race” seamlessly continues where “Songs About the World” left off. Laden again with explosive guitar tracks, clever vocal harmonies and insightful messages, the album ignites with tracks including “Sevenfold”, “Ordinary People”, “Death Race”, “Lady Friend of Mine” and “Hunter”. Produced by Rafael and mixed by Jay Ruston (The Winery Dogs, Anthrax, Stone Sour), the dynamics of each member shines through as well as the undeniable impact of every song which is big, bold and to the point. 

Today the band continues to build on their success in the U.S. and around the world. Loaded with raw talent, charged with energy and committed in the passion for creating and performing their music, fans can't help but be drawn into the powerful force that is Magnetico.

For over 30 years, singer-songwriter Maryen Cairns’s allegorical folk-pop has offered a form of literate escapism for her worldwide fanbase. “I feel driven to create songs that people can disappear into. I want to pluck them away from reality so that they can lose themselves for a few minutes,” says the Guernsey-based artist. 

In turn, her singular musicality has taken Maryen on a fantastical journey of a music career. This has included releasing 7 critically-acclaimed solo albums; being produced and mentored by Rolling Stone's producer Chris Kimsey; a professional association with former Marillion lead singer Fish; and many other adventures. 

Today, the restless creative shows no signs of slowing down. She will be issuing a newly-recorded series of live albums that reimagine her classic recordings, beginning with One Woman Band, Live at Echotown Studios, Vol 1 which will be Maryen’s first vinyl release. 

Maryen is a solo artist, a multi-instrumentalist, a producer, and a storytelling songwriter with a flair for compelling narrative arcs, character development, and transporting imagery. Her work is both delicate and powerful, featuring her folksy guitar accompaniment, her crystalline piano playing, and her stunning vocals replete with a unique intonation and invigorating register swings.

Her latest era of creativity has been inspired by a 10-date, one-woman-show tour of the UK that took place in August of 2023. The concept initially blossomed from Maryen’s desire to connect with her audience during the pandemic. The story goes Maryen started a couple of initiatives during lockdown, including The Cairns Club, a series of emails with stories and pictures from Maryen’s musical life, and a popular livestream series. For these special streaming shows, fans wanted her to perform intimate, stripped down renditions of her classic repertoire, and Maryen began to experiment. “I am a believer that good songs can shine, presented just with voice, and simple accompaniment,” Maryen says. 

Right after the final date of her one woman tour, Maryen went into a nearby studio for two days with producer Chris Kimsey. There, in front of a small audience, Maryen performed 30 songs from her back catalog. Often, Maryen would sit on a cajón and pivot between a guitar and piano, and perform impressive one-woman band feats. Nine songs from these sessions have been cherry-picked for One Woman Band, Live at Echotown Studios, Vol 1.

This intimate music making has been the direct result of a self-growth evolution for Maryen which will continue to shape her artistic continuum. “When I was younger, people knew me deeply through my music, but I wasn’t as open to connecting as I am today,” she says. “The connection I now have with my audience has breathed new life into my music.”
