Respected as one of the best live Canadian DJs in the game, Grandtheft has taken a break from globetrotting to pack in a HUGE release for Jeffree’s. Along with World Red Bull Thre3style champ and close pal Hedspin, they have made something minimal but fierce with their track “Mobbin.” The build channels the darkness of No Limit Records at its prime while the drop carries the bounce of a screwed and chopped new jack swing track. That, combined with the most menacing synth stab we’ve heard in a while, makes this tune unstoppable.

With “Give Me More,” Grandtheft lends us a soulful track that marries a delicious combination trap and dub in the same vein as his popular remix of Keys N Krates’ song “Treat Me Right” released off of Dim Mak. The juxtaposition of the drop is a total WTF moment for any club-goer and we mean that in the best way possible. Grandtheft’s momentum continues to pick up incredible speed with each release, and we don’t see his rise mellowing out anytime soon.

Back at our mammoth Stay True Scotland broadcast earlier this month, one track came real close to bringing The Caves' roof down during Nina Kraviz's powerhouse headline set. "I Wanna Go Bang" very nearly executed its titular statement – well, if the song was more about wrecking balls and less about...oh, never mind.

The vocals that stalk the track, so wholly devoid of humanity, rub up against razor-sharp claps and serious bounce in the subs. It's weighty warehouse techno of the highest order, set to devastate dark basements and big tents alike throughout the year. Simply put: Icelandic producer Bjarki has delivered a bomb.

Manni Dee turns the original in to a more straighter driving affair but with the addition of haunting dramatic pads. The fourth instalment of the Scandinavian Swords series breaks with its predecessors’ forms. Deviating from the austere brevity that marks Northern Electronics out, Scandinavian Swords IIII: Atlas of Visions completes a survey of the label’s confidants and components in the same breath as it introduces a swarm of new artists and genre-collisions.

With the swell of the last 12 months behind them, Anthony Linell and Jonas Rönnberg have forged the compilation with a paradoxical formula: Atlas of Visions stakes itself as a milestone release that retains the sure-footed programming of its proprietors yet cuts a new silhouette for what the platform of a Northern Electronics release consists of.

Presented across two volumes, Atlas of Visions courses through the hyper-pigmented and infectious fallout zone between club-focused works and the abstract territories of experimental modes. The release compiles egression and intensification into a pandemoniac whole, a refracting design for fractured times.
