We first met Josh Lear aka Selecta J-man around 2011 when he sent us some of his early productions. Since then we have been really impressed with his work! We have all toured and spent time with J Man and as well as being a really talented producer he is also a sick DJ and good friend, So it was a pleasure to be able to welcome him to the Born On Road family.

There's no holding back on J-mans debut E.P this is full of absolute gems which individually are capable of filling any dance floor, but as a collection really set the standard of today's modern Ragga Jungle! The Cease & Sekkle EP features original and punchy amen riddims backed up by some of the the scenes most established vocalists and camp favourites Parly B, Junior Dangerous, Cheshire Cat & Blackout JA.

A brand new release from Serial Killaz sister label Streetlife is about to hit the virtual shelves in the form of Gold Dubs & Cheshire Cat’s ‘Bitter Creek’ EP. It’s a massive mixture of heavyweight bass, moody vocals and destructive beats. Check it..

‘Bad Boy Deya’ proves that not everything has to be at 175 beats per minute with its mucky, cantankerous bassline that drones underneath Cheshire Cat’s crisp vocals. Certainly one for all the bad boys inna dance skirting the corners and screwing up their face.

Doubling up the tempo in the form of ‘Control’ with bright and bashy beats, summertime vocals and continually stabbing bass notes that demand even the stiffest of person to shake a leg. Can you guess the name of that classic break used in this? One for the original hardcore crew.

Don the camo sticks with ‘War Paint’ as the smoke fills the room and bass drones fire off all over the place. Cheshire Cat comes into his own on this with vocals literally flooding the speaker box. Instant ammunition and a sure fire hit - danger!

Lickin’ shots from the very top in the form of ‘Raise The Banner’, this high energy track is reminiscent of the vibes created by reggae sound system trucks and would certainly be at home at a clash. Drop this one in a battle and the claxon will sound in a second flat.

Concluding on ‘Steppin’, Cheshire Cat throws down some knowledge and wisdom combined with the lowest of bass which will no doubt force the speaker hugging brigade to the floor. Weighty in every sense and a fine way to end this EP.

Serial Killaz is quite possibly THE biggest name in jungle, don’t squat with the minority and don’t watch face.

Kingston Express Records presents the "Kingston Connection Remixes" EP in association with Payback Promotions and RubaGlove.

From Athens to Birmingham via New York this EP showcases some of the worlds best jungle producers. Fleck, Gold Dubs, King Yoof, Lion Dub, DJ Cautious and K Jah have not disappointed in crafting some of finest jungle in recent years.

This is the official jungle remix package for the "Kingston Connection" reggae EP which came out on Kingston Express Records in June 2017. The remixes EP features vocals from Macka B, Horace Andy, Johnny Clarke, Cheshire Cat, Solo Banton, Earl 16, Horseman, Robert Dallas and Ital Horns.
