Stephen Davismoon was born in London. He completed undergraduate studies in music at the University of Southampton, specializing in composition with Ric Graebner and performance, Classical Guitar with Antonio Albanes. He then went on to complete his Doctorate in Composition at the University of Edinburgh, studying with Nigel Osborne.

He is currently Dean School of Creative and Performing Arts at Liverpool Hope University.

He has had a professional composition career for more than 25 years, and has written music for a broad range of ensembles and situations – from solo pieces through to works for full orchestra, with and without voices. He has also written a number of live electronic/interactive; electroacoustic and sound-art installation pieces.

He has had performances in Brazil, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Iceland, Italy, Lithuania, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, UK, Ukraine, Uruguay and the USA.

Pianist Luciane Cardassi is a noted performer of new music who regularly premiers works by emerging and established composers from around the world. She earned a doctorate in contemporary music performance from the University of California, San Diego. 

The main focus of Luciane’s work for the last 20 years has been collaborations with composers. Since moving to Canada in 2006, she has already premiered more than 30 works by Canadian composers, in addition to new works by composers from Brazil, USA and Europe. In 2010, she developed a concert program, “Going North”, with new works for piano, pianist voice, electronics and video by Canadian and Brazilian composers. This first cycle of “Going North” was well received by audiences in Canada, Brazil and the U.K. Luciane recently premiered “Going North 2.”

One of her current projects is a collaboration with harpsichordist Katelyn Clark. The rocKeys duo will be premiering works for harpsichord, piano and electronics by 4 Canadian composers in 2014, followed by a CD recording and Canadian and international tours. In 2013 Luciane will be touring with a multimedia concert by composer Emilie LeBel, entitled “on faith, work, leisure & sleep” with works for piano, pianist's voice, text, electronics, and video. A DVD of this project, which is based on a book by Canadian poet Sue Sinclair, will be released in the Fall of 2013. The pianist is also developing a Brazil/Portugal/Canada collaboration with pianist Ana Claudia de Assis with new works for piano 4-hands.  Luciane lives in Banff, Canada. She is the pianist of the “Rubbing Stone Ensemble”, from Calgary.
