This song was inspired by a trip taken to Hawaii by the Ouachita Baptist University Wind Ensemble.  We were playing for a "missionary kids conference" in the Aloha Bowl and got to stay for 7 days.  By the 3rd day the conference was moved to a smaller venue and from that point we never knew if the event was going to occur that night or not.  During the day we were free to go explore the island and the beauty we saw in the Lord's creation was indescribable.  

This song was recording in my new studio using a Mac Pro running Digital Performer 8.  The main instruments were: Roland Fantom G8, PPG Wave 2.3 wavetable synth plug-in, Prophet 5 analog synth plug-in, Prophet VS vectoring synth plug-inJupiter 8 analog synth plug-in, NLog Poly Synth plug-in, Parker Fly Deluxe, Parker Bronze Fly, Larrivee LV-03E, Ibanez ART-100, Line 6 POD500, Rode NT1, Roland DS90 digital reference monitors, Presonus FireStudio Mobile interface.  

Work Of Your Hands 2014 VS 4 Mix

Your Love Follows Me, written around 1994, recorded several times until now.  This is what I've always imagined this song sounding like.  Guitar tracks are a Parker Fly Deluxe running through a Boss GX-100. The bass is a Spector Ethos 4 running direct with a free Tech21 imitation plug-in for the Geddy type sound.  Various VSTs were used, Roland D-50 and Jupiter 8 to be exact.  I got a lot of help from my friends at Antares also. Drums were Native Instruments Studio Drums loaded into Kontakt.  Other keyboard parts were from my Roland Fantom 8 before the EX expansion. The vocals were recorded with a simple Rode NT1 that I've had for years.  The IO was a MOTU UltraLite Mk5 with an 8Pre USB connected optically.  I hope you like this song that talks about no matter how far we go we can not expect the Love of God.

2022 Your Love Follows Me Mix 12052023 HD

This was the first fully produced song from my new studio.  It was written about 20 years ago and was a staple in the Time of Silence setlist.  The recording was done using MOTU DP8, with various plug-ins and VSTs.  Every guitar part was recorded direct without effects, amps, or any other processing.  The amps and effects were added later.  The keys included VSTs simulating the Roland Jupiter 8, the Sequential Circuits Prophet 5, the Roland D-50, and an Obreheim OBXa.

This is the second version of this piece, co-written by myself and Amy Spence, a founding Time of Silence member.  It originally only had acoustic guitar and I wanted to add a little piano.  The piano part ended up totally replacing the acoustic guitar part.
