Its title refers to the city of the same name that was bombed by Nazi planes during the Spanish Civil War, an event that destroyed three-quarters of the ancient town, killing and wounding hundreds of civilians in the process.

For 70 years Huey was a master cobbler and catered for many of the Coronation Street stars from an old workshop in Ashton Under Lyne. The painter LS Lowery was one of his customers!
