Kia Ora Beautiful dancing Souls!

I have had the absolute privilege over this last couple of weeks to offer scared dance to the Burning Man Playa this year. This set was curated in collaboration with my dear friend Robbie Fear for the magical beings of Burning Man on the Friday afternoon. 

This set has a slow burn with opportunities for deep contemplation and moving what is no longer serving through the body. The set is a little more low key than usual as it was a BIG time on Playa with dust storms destroying the camps several times, so we felt a full send high energy set would not serve the collective. Instead I played a phat didgeridoo track to create a beacon of awareness and depth to call in the humans for a chance to dive deep into the body and set them up for the final push in the days to come. 

This set was such a honour to co create. The viscosity of the Portal that was co created by the souls that were there was some of the deepest I have ever felt.

BURNING MAN Somatic / Ecstatic Dance Live from Rhythm Wave 2025-  Deep contemplation, Ethereal sound portal - Light Dance wave

German-born David Juno discovered electronic music in Jena before moving to New Zealand. Melody and organic sounds are at the core of the music he is passionate about, through different tempos and moods within the 4/4 realm of house and downtempo. David Juno concocts harmonious brews that enthrall listeners at large and small gatherings; clandestine woodland rendezvous; thundering, pitch-black basement blowouts, light-speed gigs aboard gleaming spaceships, and even interdimensional celestial soirées. He's a regular at XCHC and core member of Mary Hush. David Juno is a sonic conduit - his sets create atmospheric journeys that connect audiences through sonic storytelling, ranging from dark, spacious soundscapes to bright, energetic peaks that capture the full spectrum of human emotion and experience - with all the nuances in between.

Cutting her teeth as a DJ in the local ecstatic/somatic dance scene, Lioness is evolving into a dynamic presence behind the decks. Known for her “mixed bag of lollies, with a bit of a bite,” her sets blend genres with a fusion of sounds like electro, house, to drum and bass with a sprinkle of nostalgic classics.
 
Usually seen tearing up the dance floor herself, Lioness is growing into her name with a fearless fusion of sounds delivering energetic, genre-bending sets that keep the crowd moving and always guessing.

BLASE is an Auckland (NZ)  based DJ and Ecstatic dance facilitator known for his diverse, multi genre music journeys. 

An Alchemist of frequency, BLASE likes to take listeners on a connective experience through the body with deep bass lines and eclectic melodies allowing dancers to venture deep, but always brings them home. 
 
Ecstatic dance sets have music specifically cultivated to take you and your body through a diverse range of movement and promote connection with yourself, others and the earth. Maybe even on a level you didn't expect?
