Kia Ora Dance Homies!

Wow! what a journey. Made one last stop on the Europe summer tour with my friends over at Ecstatic Dance UK for the Sunday session. I love a Sunday session. 

Sarsha and I have been travelling together for the last couple of months exploring a beautiful balance of work and play, sacred and... not sacred 😂. POLARITY

The Polarity of this world we all cohabit can be a bit intense at times, but I feel I have learnt to dance between the polarities more and more this summer and create more flow within it. So we decided to bring this theme into the dance with the embodiment of Muscles. And not just these magical, stretchy, dense powerhouse collection of fibres that help us move us through space, but also the space between the muscles too. 

This wave is a nice slow build with a euphoric first peak, then a settling and moves into some deeper melodies and basslines... I know! I know! .... I couldnt resist. Im from New Zealand, of course I had to sneak some bass tunes in there. POLARITY my friends. Its not just all love and light out there, sometimes we have to explore the deeper layers.

Ecstatic Dance UK 2024 - 2 Hours - Double Wave (European Style)

I always remember myself listening to music since childhood.   
First experience of electronic music and ecstatic experience happened to me on the magical island of Koh Phangan. 
Later on during my travels and explorations across SE Asia I started DJing myself. 

Dance for me is getaway to the transcendental experience and union where we all become one. 
Music for me is a meditation and language to express something what words cannot express.

🎧 Camimi is a London-based DJ from New Zealand who weaves the spectrum of house and melodic genres.

EMILY EMBER is a dancer,  DJ, vocalist and budding music producer/ritual artist known as ‘Spring Jaiah’

Growing up in the bushland of tropical far north-eastern Australia, she spent her twenties travelling the world in pursuit of body-mind healing which revealed the power of practice on intentional dance floors and music can have on community. Since her first event in the area as far back as 2015, in 2021 she founded Ecstatic Dance Cairns, bringing diverse flavours and global rhythms to men and women, through full bodied emotional and danceable journeys moving the FNQ region ever since. She is also a somatic-psychology/BA Psych/Couns student, shamanic practitioner and servant of creating and facilitating safe spaces for self and community transformation.

Some of her music flavours explored in 2025 include afro beats, world, global bass, drum and bass/jungle, melodic & ethnic house plus many more… in effort of fusing sounds from all across the world, from the Africas to the Andes, Bristol to Berlin and beyond in cathartic ritual ecstasy.

Everything Emily does is to serve re-connection of earth-wisdom and sacred remembrance.
