Stephen has been one of the most prolific techno producers out of the United States in 2020, churning out a string of quality releases on labels such Planet Rhythm, Liberta Records, Say What, Trau-ma and many more. A multi-faceted producer and DJ, Stephen’s techno sounds takes dancers from the deep and hypnotic realm of the genre to the high-octane driving and peak-time hours.

ONI Recordings label head Danny Wabbit's sound is renowned by his fast paced grooves, hypnotic rhythms and his murky minimalistic atmosphere, whether in his performances or productions Danny encapsulates the "groove" Danny’s pursuit of spreading the hypnotic movement in his local scene has gained him residency in the expanding hypnotic community CÉRÉMONIE.

The groove is apparent in this collaboration between the two entitled "Pulse" off the upcoming As One EP on Planet Rhythm.

Our 73rd release is upon us and we welcome back Gem label boss Secret Cinema’s latest collaborative effort with non-other than Dutch techno maestro, Egbert.
 
Opening things up, ‘Vortex’ takes us on a relentless four-to-the floor twisting journey through eerie soundscapes and rave-like synth stabs. Pulling our attention in through finely tuned details and powerful subs. Next up, ‘Random 47’ takes us on a thrilling ride with multiple layers of beautifully crafted synth work and a thumping kick drum that sends an electrifying current through our senses. Lastly, Secret Cinema calls on newcomers, Amata to take ‘Vortex’ on a deeper narrative. Focused primarily on groove and dream-like pads which float over delicate drums. Say What? 112 brings LA based producer Stephen Disario back with 3 new amazing Techno work-outs, that blew us straight away and proved that he is in top shape 

 

His sound has mutated to a darker state exploring the edges of the electronic world: deep kicks and raw synths with a lush and edgy sound design are the key elements here and will make sure you get hooked on his trip 

 

The release gets topped off with a remix by Brennen Grey, with releases on Kraftek, Respekt and We Are The Brave, you know that you are in for a treat

Stephen Disario has placed himself at the forefront of Los Angeles’s techno community with his signature style of moody, driving techno. Whether in the studio or behind the decks his sound is distinct, and his passion rings clear in his music. Stephen has also offered huge contributions to the Los Angeles scene by organizing events under the Cognition brand, which he co-founded in 2017, and through his involvement with H2Audio, a premier LA based sound company. He had his breakthrough year in 2020 with his track "Rave" gaining support from Amelie Lens, Pan Pot, and many others. Stephen continued to break the mold in 2021 with the release of "Pulse" which was constant rotation and found its way into Chris Liebing’s AM/FM podcast. 2023 sparked a new chapter with the launch of Conundrum Records, showcasing Stephen's unique sound as well as bringing on like-minded peers in the scene for releases and label showcases. You can catch Stephen playing at sweaty warehouses small and large as well as notable events like ADE, Boiler Room, CRSSD, and others.
