The Disappointment Choir are a indie pop duo from the South East of England. We are Katy (vocals, guitar) and Rob (vocals, synths, guitar). 

Our second album, "Vows", is released on 6 October 2017.

Spinning rare and precious grooves, mostly of a British showbiz or comedy nature, The Downstairs Lounge is a haven for neglected and forgotten records.

The record label Kscope was created in May 2008 to provide a home for the growing post-progressive genre and an evolving, flexible and adventurous style of music without boundaries.

In recent years, a growing movement of bands has started to reclaim and reinvent aspects of the progressive, post-punk and post-rock genres, re-establishing a desire to experiment with eclectic musical sources and state of the art widescreen sonic possibilities. Kscope was created to provide a home for this evolving and adventurous style of music without boundaries, and was launched in 2008 with new albums from its first signings The Pineapple Thief and No-Man. New albums have since followed from the legendary likes of Anathema, Steven Wilson, Porcupine Tree/Japan keyboard player Richard Barbieri, highly rated newcomers North Atlantic Oscillation and Lunatic Soul (the solo project from Riverside's Mariusz Duda). In addition to these releases the Kscope catalogue also now contains a series of deluxe reissues of classic albums from Porcupine Tree, The Pineapple Thief, Blackfield and No-Man.

Stackridge formed in the early ‘70s, touring the UK, building a fanatical following and released 3 albums on MCA, "Stackridge", "Friendliness" and in 1974 "The Man in the Bowler Hat", which was produced by George Martin. This triumphant masterpiece, regarded by many to be George Martin's finest creation outside of his Beatles canon, the band recorded two more critically acclaimed albums, "Extravaganza" and "Mr. Mick" for Elton John’s Rocket label.

Going their separate ways in 1976, they continued to make music. James Warren and Andy Davies gained notable success as electro-pop balladeers, The Korgis with two hit singles including the massive "Everybody’s Got To Learn Sometime". 

In 2006 the still devoted followers of the band were delighted when a reformed Stackridge started played a series of gigs, that included classic songs from the large back catalogue and a body of outstanding new material.

As ever, Stackridge has brought its' effervescent mix of melodic tunes, playful and poignant lyrics and instrumental exploration to their first album release on Helium Records.  "A Victory For Common Sense", produced by Chris Hughes sees original members Andy Davis, "Mutter" Slater, "Crun" Walter and James Warren back together again and in truly fine form.
