Specialising in the combination of contemporary and vintage technology, Ahmed uses production techniques most suitable to the track. He takes pride in every track that leaves his studio is of the highest quality and is known for his perfectionist approach.

Envy Studios is a recording studio in Petersfield, Hampshire featuring full Pro Tools recording, a large 450 square foot live room, bad-ass amps & instruments, and creative & experienced engineers.

We offer a comfortable atmosphere, sensible rates, and deliver the goods when it comes to massive-sounding records!

We offer recording, mixing, mastering and rehearsals in-house, as well as remote mixing & mastering sessions from material you provide.

Producer of contemporary music, live and studio engineer, bass player and DJ. My life has been centred around music since first picking up a guitar at the age of 9.

I have been playing bass in bands since the age of 13. Two notable projects have been-

 Mambo Juice- A contemporary Samba band based in the south coast and London consisting of Bass, guitar, Minimoog, MC, two singers, a horn section and a whole host of Samba carnival drummers. This covered such ground as Samba, drum and bass, House, funk, rock and anything else that took our fancy. This really was an experiment that straddled boundaries with a non limits attitude. Every session was different, with high energy party jam vibe, every venue was rocked to the foundations. This lasted 5 years. Dearly missed.

Dreaming New Animals- A psychedelic three piece that made love to the extremes of sound and excess. This was an effects soaked soundscape cut into beautifully crafted melodic moments. The lyrics and music where unhindered in expression. Unfortunately this could not be sustained past the 3 year lifespan of the band, as it spiralled out of control into its inevitable conclusion. A shame to leave this potent musical chemistry behind, but we must move on and progress. 

I mention these two projects to reflect defining moments in my unique musical development. From these projects, my diversity of skills and acceptance of many styles of music have been blown wide open. I have become a chameleon of groove and melody.

I have since sessioned my bass for a variety of acts from The Coolness (with gigs highlighted at two years of SXSW), Beautiful folk voice of Amanda Evans, Josie Watts and many others. 

I have also developed a taste for music production. Ranging from The hard edged electro rock of The 1914s to the 80’s tinged synth sex rock of The Coolness, to my own contemporary dance music productions. 

 My love for all kinds of quality music is vast. And my productions and DJ sets reflect this.

I have been DJing in Portsmouth since the early noughties and have taken this to East London in 2009. From residencies at the wild warehouse parties of Club Cool, to a residency at the cool and groovaliscious Manero’s late night cocktail joint, and quirky one off art parties. I have developed a well loved passion for rocking a dancefloor. My music is based from leftfield pop to funk to interesting house and techno grooves, all tinged with a mixed bag of whatever the dancefloor needs (this latter one could be anything from jazz to latin to rock to electronica to etc….). The music is all for the taking….
