11. Stephen J. Kroos - Multimodal

DJ Atman is a well-rounded producer & DJ from the fair-weathered city of San Diego, CA. He lives and breathes dance music, & especially those tunes that are filled with emotion and soul. His love for dance music started in 2008, when he decided to check out pandora radio’s dance music stations. 

After hearing some DnB and Hard House, he fell in love with dance music and all the diversity that dance music offers. After exploring these two genres for awhile he increasingly developed an ear for finding the best in trance & progressive tunes since 2009. As the scene rapidly changed and dance music went mainstream, he has always been at the forefront, honing his DJing skills by starting a multi-genre mix series called the ‘Decibel Trance & Progressive Podcast’. 

Always expect the unexpected from this DJ/Producer, as he loves to combine different genres into a fresh high-energy style of mixing which will keep people moving throughout the night.

I was born in Hertfordshire, England and have lived my entire life (bar one year) in Northern Ireland.
With my musical qualification in Grade 5 Violin and a casual player of guitar & piano, I started making music on Ableton Live from the age of 16, and have been self-teaching and improving my skills ever since.
Having always lived close to Strangford Lough, one of my inspirations is the natural and physical world; the influence of beautiful natural places with times of day of which they are in.
What I normally submit are experiments using Ableton; the majority of my songs are beatless, ambient songs, with the rest being 4/4 beats.
