Blind River Scare is a vehicle for the Americana & Alt Country influenced songs of South Wales, UK, based singer/songwriter Tim Manning.

Blind River Scare have released 'Killing Time' (2007), 'The Straight And True' (2010), 'The Point Of No Return' (2014), 'Pastures New' (2017) and 'The Mileage Made' (2021) on Creosote Records. 
Contributed 'Walking On Hell's Roof Looking At The Flowers' to the John Langford tribute album 'Levitation' (2008) and 'Open Door' to The Acoustic Programme album 'Taking It Back To The Wood' (2009)

In 1993 Ebbw Vale band March Hares spectacularly imploded and disappeared despite record labels sniffing around them, a debut single/video deal, winning Wales best unsigned band competition, TV and radio appearances, major support slots, festival appearances, critical acclaim and a loyal and growing fanbase.  Thus earning them the tag "Wales great lost band" by Walesonline.com.  Formed in 1989 by guitarist Mark Evans and vocalist Steve Light, adding drummer Mark Swain and dreadlocked bassist Simon "Eyes" Worlock with shoddy equipment and a practice room in a church hall, The Hares quickly melded powerful dreamy soundscapes into an ever expanding setlist, then gigging all over South Wales and later in London. Later adding a new drummer in Nigel Shepherd. The four year lifespan of the band was also memorable for wild crazy tales from the many gigs, always reckless, always impulsive, always playing against the system, never sending off demo tapes. Just writing, rehearsing, gigging and partying, but always with a true creative rock and roll heart. Long live the March Hares!!!!

Mass Envy are an alternative rock band from South Wales. Formed in 2019, the band members are  songwriters Mark Evans (Lead Guitar) and Stephen Light (Vocals/Guitar) and the rhythym section of bassist Scott Baker and drummer John Oldfield. Mixing influences from Post Punk, Psychedelia, Post Rock, Prog Rock, Power Pop, and krautrock , the songwriting duo of Evans and Light have been writing and performing together through previous bands March Hares and Blacksand and have amassed a large quality back catalogue of music.  A 4 track  EP entitled "Viva Interior" was released during April 2020 which coincided with the bands first live performances. It is on stage where Mass Envy explode into a memorable sonic experience. Mark has also recorded ambient soundtrack music for documentaries, while Stephen has released music as a solo artist. Scott is a classically trained  multi-instrumentalist who has many acting and other musical projects. John also drums for a dub reggae outfit and previously for unsung Newport punksters The Abs.

The Newport singer-songwriter offers up what is a tantamount to future electro acid folk rock, courtesy of a thoroughly modern and hypnotic take on psychtronica.  the musician - formerly frontman of one of Wales' great lost bands The March hares, and leader of current Newport psych rockers Black Branches,  – underlines his stately presence as of one of our most cherished undiscovered talents."
