Fresh heat incoming to Avenue Red from Ezy Fischel B2B N'djinn, a duo from Berlin whose selections are so rich, sweet, deep and fulfilling — not to mention the ridiculously silky, imperceptible transitions — it is at times difficult to take it in and process it in your mind. We are hereby served an eclectic platter of perfect summer solstice vibes. Finest vinyl-only ingredients of house, techno, electro, IDM — it's all there with a red candied cherry on top. Do not sleep on this 2.5 hour fireball of a set!!

"We set our aims on a b2b-mix what feels like ages ago, and in relative terms it is, because it was during winter '20/'21 that we reconnected (being former colleagues at a record shop) and started doing sessions. We always had a good sense of where the other one is, emotionally and musically, so it's been a wholesome journey exploring our collections in tandem.

There are numerous overlaps regarding which artists and labels we both admire, but surprisingly enough we own very few of the same singles and albums. Oftentimes when playing we discover lacunae in discographies we otherwise thought we knew, scrambling to note down an identifier, or, conversely, one of us simply starts nodding — a gesture every music head recognises — when realising exactly what record the other is bringing into the mix... ah, yes, many are the prized-but-not-necessarily-pricey tunes we've shared in ecstatic and all kinds of altered states!

Still, we've been sitting on many a recording without letting loose. After a good three years, now, it's about time we share a moment of that local synergy; fuelled by energy derived from all them creators, the initiators and innovators and elevators, the rebels and renegades of machine funk." For the 13th instalment of the Mosaic Mix Series we turn to Sydney-based DJ Magda Bytnerowicz who supplies us with 2 hours of sublime deep and techy funk.

Over the last ten years Magda has been quietly solidifying her credentials as a DJ with a deft touch, equally capable of warming up a room for fanatic house heads or closing it after techno heroes such as Derrick May or DVS1, as well as garnering warm respect as a peak slot spinner in her own right. 

As well as DJing , Magda is one of the faces behind Sydney’s ’s much respected 4our parties who showcase local DJs and select international guests in a decidedly no frills warehouse environment.
