For the 60th edition of the Mosaic Mix Series we head to Nantes and the sounds of Lou Berlinger’s Slow Dimension Project.

Describing the project as the ‘combination between the shades and opacity of dark techno sounds with light dubby echoed and filtered chords’ Lou has been spinning her minimal and deep dub sound for over ten years and has recently signed her debut release as Slow Dimension on Apnea Records.

Materielle (fka ILAYDA) is a Los Angeles based hypnotic and dub techno DJ & Producer and has been a part of the underground music scene for over 2 decades. She has been working for Native Instruments for 7 years and founded DECKREKORD, a label and live online venue channel, and has released on Delusional Records. Known for her 15 hour+ virtual event curations during the pandemic, every promoter was anxious to book her once everything opened back up. This started her career in Summer of '21 and already in a short time she supported global artists; Ryan Elliott, Juliet Fox, Baseck, SIAN, Jeremy Olander, and Sophia Saze.

Tom Dicicco is a renowned electronic music producer and DJ, known for his deep and atmospheric techno sound. He has made significant contributions to the techno scene with releases on respected labels such as Delsin, M>O>S Recordings, Jordan GCZ's Off Minor, and Anthony Parasole’s The Corner.

Throughout his career, Dicicco has collaborated with notable artists like Fred P, Luke Hess, Dario Zenker and Skudge, and has appeared alongside them on VA releases.

More recently, Tom has been working on a new collaboration with long time friend and artist Roger 23. Recording between the UK and Germany, Tom and Roger have been amassing a collection of tracks ready for release very soon.

For Short Attention Mix 047, Tom Dicicco provides a 60-minute music selection that reflects his diverse musical taste and eclectic influences, offering a rich blend of genres beyond his usual techno sound.

The arrival of October's full moon has brought us a feeling of nostalgia. And this feeling has got us checking back to our music archive. Peeking through the window of memory we dusted off our old and mistakenly forgotten folders of what, at one point, was simply called 'techno'. And we dug through some of that music to find the sounds that would still fit a collection of psychedelic and driving music. And, to no surprise, there is plenty to be found in those archives. 

With this month's mixtape, number 51, we pay tribute to some of those old school sounds delivered by some of the big and classic names. Not everything is 'old' but certainly everything is old school sounding. Straight techno for a lack of a better description. Loopy, gritty, groovy and peak time.

The Acid Jesus into Urgent track into Call Super sequence at the end I've had in mind for something like 2 years, DJ Steaw into Tracey Thorn into Leafar Legov I feel is a really nice turn around a corner and finally the 4 track sequence that makes up the intro gives me the warm and fuzzies as well. In the early hours of 2018 a duo of house preachers of the highest order was in control of the Ankali dj booth. Map.Ache and Sevensol aka Manamana hail from Leipzig where they run the label/recordstore Kann Records and if their debut Prague performance has taught us one thing, it's that the two know where the groove is at. We're glad we could share an hour-and-half long excerpt of their set, as the vibe they delivered is a supreme cure for the vicious frost outside.
