Nazca - Ulysse (Fall Therapy remix)

Synopsis: "b-side: the tracks" is an acoustic compression of one day into twelve minutes. The stereophonic sound installation is a result of the Creative Europe Project “Open HUB” a residency that took place in Aalst (Belgium) in May 2016. 
“b-side: the tracks” is a miniature of a monday at the Aalst train station. The arrival times of the trains were translated from hours into minutes - and cut in half. Twelve minutes become one day. Every train arriving is depicted by a bow stroke and sounds signifying the measurement of time. Church bells are ringing, clocks ticking, trains passing, walking. Underneath this corsage a carpet of white noise is ringing silently, sometimes even whispering. 
The sound piece is inspired by the work of artist Claire Stragier and sociologist Hartmut Rosa.

Immernoch gehen uns die Bilder der Tolerade durch den Kopf, einer Tanzdemo in Dresden, die am 12.05.2018 statt gefunden hat.
Unter dem Motto "Unity in Diversity" fuhren 14 Wagen mit mehreren Soundsystemen durch die Stadt, um für eine Gleichstellung aller Menschen zu kämpfen, ganz unabhängig von Geschlecht, Hautfarbe, Religion oder Lebensweisen.
Ich hatte nicht nur die Ehre auf einem dieser Wagen zu stehen und aufzulegen, sondern auch bei der Afterparty im Sektor Evolution durfte ich mir gemeinsam mit der wunderbaren Enea Lu die Ehre geben.
Das Bild von ausgelassen tanzenden Leuten, die den erkämpften Freiraum nach ihrem Ermessen füllten, war ein so beschwingliches Gefühl, dass ich dieses lange in mir tragen werde.
Als Ode versuche ich in diesem Set dieses Gefühl zu vermitteln.

Und um für mehr Akzeptanz weiblicher* DJ*s zu sorgen, sind in jedem der Tracks dieses Stückes Frauen beteiligt.

On 22nd March we'll be issuing Blank Statements debut, Signs Are Rampant, on vinyl for the first time. Originally released as a very limited run of cassettes on Hobbies Galore in 2017, all eight tracks are featured here alongside one previously unheard track, 'Successor Island'. If you're hearing some kinship with fellow Melburnians The Stroppies, then your ears are functioning right - Claudia and Steph play in both bands, and of course, Hobbies Galore is the original home for both, not to mention Julia's solo project. And there's a shared spirit of DIY spontaneity on show, here allied with a whip-smart sense of humour that's as addictive as it is intimidating. Smart, funny, effortless, as debuts go it's an impressive concoction that teeters on the edge of collapse. But of course it never does. Needless to say, we're very much anamoured with this record and are privileged to bring it to vinyl (and digital) for the first time.
