Following the release of well received Steppin’ Forward LP in 2014, we're happy to announce Steppin’ Forward Remixed.
For this release we’ve asked producers featured on the original album to rework each other’s tracks and in the end we received an outstanding result of a 14 track compilation filled with deadly bass heavy riddims.
Steppin Forward Remixed will be available as digital only release on June  the 22nd.

Belgian dub master Digid has teamed up with the notorious Londoner Squarewave to bring forth up-tempo dub spectacles. Both artists continue to build on their sense of the traditional, rooted vibrations known to rule dub culture. By executing their own dread commandments, the two have succeeded in delivering their anticipated, collaborative release on the Moonshine Recordings imprint. 
‘Rooftop Stepper’ is a tight jam packed with energy in various layers of the frequency spectrum. Both producers have put loads of effort in crafting a comfy, confident bassline that frequently hits both the threshold and pitch bends. Glitches serve as a tempo marker, stretching the foundation from dub towards future half-step technics. The way the forward-thinking melody invades time and space makes this the right EP opener for the next Moonshine outing.
The ‘Basement‘ version leads a truly devotional multi-pitch movement that reaches an all-time high. Simple reggae riffs follow suit and complement the bright horn setting the anthemic tone. Digid and Squarewave continue to push the limits of this dub excursion by blending in the necessary sub bass and top-end frequencies. It collectively fuels dub culture, delivering a production specifically designed for a floor below. 
The closing stepper named ‘Space Station’ is an almost extraterrestrial odyssey. It incorporates the original jungle sound in a renewed way, feeling completely different from the other appearing dub issues. The dub stallions have worked out a golden formula that needs to be heard on a proper sound system. Tighten the drivers and bass bins, because everyone will be playing out the Moonshine sound of choice.
‘MS022’ is the next outing in line of the steady Moonshine throughput, following up on Dubdadda’s successful ‘MS019’ release. It’s a completely different dub exploration coming from Digid and Squarewave. It’s an important collection of tracks for the label’s progressive taste in sound. This forthcoming 12” is all about the European take on future dub technology.

Tetra Hydro K est le nom d’un laboratoire secret dirigé par le Docteur Kanay et le Docteur Krilong.
Leurs recherches se concentrent sur la combinaison d’éléments organiques (instruments musicaux en live) dans un univers électronique.
Quand les spécialistes se sont penchés sur ces mélanges, il se sont arraché les cheveux pour les définir :
Est-ce électronique ? Acoustique ? Dub ? Drum & Bass ? Pourquoi on ne peut pas s’arrêter de danser ?
Les résultats de ces réactions chimiques, comme vous pouvez l’entendre avec l’EP « basse équitable » sont étonnants et stupéfiants !
Le duo est bien entendu sorti de son labo pour pratiquer leurs expérimentations en live où le public les a acclamés.
Alors n’attendez pas plus longtemps pour prélever quelques unes de ces substances audio pour vos oreilles !

 

Tetra Hydro K is the name of a laboratory based in a secret location, run by Doctors Kanay and Krilong.
Their research concentrates on experimenting with organic elements (live musical instruments) in a computer-generated environment.
When testing these musical concoctions, specialists have been left scratching their heads with unanswered questions:
Is it electronic? Acoustic? Dub? Dubstep? Drum and Bass? Why can’t I stop dancing?
The results of these chemical reactions, as you can you can hear for yourselves with the « Basse équitable » EP, are astounding.
The duo have also been venturing out of their lab and practicing live experiments in public, to great acclaim.
