… Saitoti ist nicht besonders groß, spricht kein Englisch und läuft drei Tage in die Wildnis um seine Familie zu sehen, wenn die Band nicht gerade auf Tour ist. Er macht mir verständlich dass er auf eine von mir angespielte Musik etwas aufnehmen möchte. Ich reiche ihm die Kopfhörer, bringe das Mikrofon in die richtige Position und starte die Aufnahme. Nach kurzem abwarten beginnt er seine traditionellen Massaigesänge an diese ihm völlig unbekannte Musik zu schmiegen. Nach dem ersten Take steht der Song, und ich staune, geküsst von der überwältigenden Magie von Musik. So entstand Massai Dub, der erste Song auf der EP Habari Za Safari…
