2017 has been a very busy studio year for Stereo Express. 
The outcome is a powerful but sexy album, with a diverse range of vocal collaborations, which he will release on his label Love Matters. 

Influenced by his gigs at Afrikaburn 2017, his new album ‘EXPRESS YOURSELF’ has an energetic but melodic club sound with a dreamy and exotic timbre. 

Stereo Express shows with his second album he went through a strong musical development in the last years. Already with the first track you get sucked into a powerful organic atmosphere with sexy tempting vocals. 

This groovy and sexy sound is the red line through out the whole album which is expected in April 2018

At the intersection of house and deep tech, KlangKuenstler and Jiggler join forces and give a nod to the good ol’ rave days in their upcoming split EP.
Klangkuenstler’s 'Save The Rave' is a current-day take on a 90s classic sound aesthetic, when electronic keyboards reigned dancefloors. Complete with a brooding bassline and acid tinted flare ups, the resemblance to the rave sound is striking, yet the artist manages to put his own mark on the arrangement, adding plenty of bounce and energy.
'Impact' tells the story of a slow paced, gradually unfolding construction. Solemn strings build up tension, joined by eerie loops at its apex, making for an unpredictably stirring breakdown. 
Klangkuenstler’s second offering 'Exodia' picks up on the rave segment as well, but the sequence is downplayed and carefully layered with wavy synths and processed percussion.
For his double take, Jiggler explores deep techy atmospheres in 'Stairs', a powerful, bass-heavy cut with plenty of dancefloor appeal. Carving out a resonant melody, accented with lively vocals, the track strikes a perfect balance between upbeat and dreamy.

Jiggler - Impact [Snippet]

The story of this wonderful collaboration started last year at Afrikaburn 2017, where Chris (Stereo Express) & Seth Schwarz met. They teamed up with their musical visions and "Kadanza" was born. Driven by a strong groove, this track enchants the most by the beautiful harmonies used between violin and piano. This harmonic dance comes to a fantastic climax in the break, followed up by a huge powerful drop. "Kadanza" is a track, which touches emotions - ready to move audiences at clubs and festivals all over the globe!

Opener Galactica sets the tone with electric pads and spacious, echo-ridden synths that create a playful yet compelling melody with a highly memorable bassline. You meet somebody and you instantly know that you have already known each other long ago and always will. True connection is a blessing - overcoming duality by trust, honesty and deep understanding - We call it love.

Seth Schwarz’s Violin pairs easily with the playful and delicate voice of Die Ruhe. Both are taking us to remote places that offer space and time for stories yet untold. A serene oasis as the lead line reminds the listener about the journey from darkness into the light "we'll come again!“ The break its smoothly introduced with a wild Violin Solo followed by a melancholic Vocal Bridge leading into a reminiscing Reprise of Strings, while the whole Arrangements builds up again and erupts into a fountain of Joy.

Every end bears a new beginning. Once experienced it is worth being patient for something as precious to come your way again. "There'll be dozens of souls in the end I'll swear that I know - We'll come again." For sure - with PATIENCE.

Dutch Genius Producer Mees Salomé, who is already known through BBC Radio, being played by nonetheless the Pete Tong is exploring the darker and melancholic side with his interpretation of Die Ruhe’s and Seth Schwarz’s PATIENCE. While giving the piece an epic touch building around the strings and a powerful and wide bass that hovers under the well produced synthesis of synth and vocal, the same key message remains „we will come again!“ and weaves through all the tears into a huge ocean of sounds.

The Australian producer Ryan Oblique, awarded winner of Richie Hawtin’s "Ask Yourself Remix Competition“ fuses the vocals of PATIENCE with a non-conformist attitude together with the lower pitched strings now sounding like Echos of Cellos, into one of his genre-bending productions. In this outstanding production he fluidly paints a picture of pulsating impressions - leaving the fragments of the original bouncing of the walls in a non-90˚ angle. The result is extremely artistic and surely has the potential of becoming an art installation on its own in Berlin.

Einmusik builds up two constructions reminiscent of his live sets, expertly crafting ambiances that drive the listener into a trance. While on Sirens the focal point is a downward winding synth that instantly grabs attention, Sweet Spot offers a perfect counter with its ascending layers. 

On the flipside, you might remember D-Nox from the Schneeweiss compilation, and the German performer stays true to his style. Both Escape and his collaboration with Beckers deliver an engrossing groove, with a spellbinding bassline that sets a trippy mood. While Escape sets the tone and makes for an interesting development in a set, Mechanism makes a great tool for sustaining the intensity on an unassertive yet energetic way.
