The new single from Faith Harding, aka Novelty Daughter, offers a glimpse into her disparate inspirations as she pairs her roots as a jazz vocalist with newer ventures in beat-making and production. Fresh off of a collaboration with label-mate A Sol Mechanic on his recent "just pick me up" EP, this new offering from Novelty Daughter shows off her growth as a producer and her ability to lyrically turn herself inside-out. Harding recently moved to Brooklyn where she is writing and recording her first full length, physical LP (slated for release on Stereocure in Spring 2015) and playing a consistent stream of live shows.

Crazy Flames

This is about a year and a half old. Just a random jam made when Donnie was at the crib. We originally named it North Korea because of some news headline at the time. Played it for a ton of A-list and underground artists and they all loved it but everyone kept telling us to put it out as an instrumental because they loved it as is. It is the first single off of a new Blended Babies instrumental album thats finished that we are releasing in 2015. Due to recent headlines we felt the world needed this. Fuck censorship of any kind. Freedom of expression is essential to keeping our culture and society honest. Let the audience decide whats worth watching and listening to. #TEAMAMERICA

"I go through phases of learning bunches of songs by certain artists -- last year it was Arthur Russell, the year before that it was Alex G and the Silver Jews, and this year it's Cass McCombs. I'm such a huge fan of his lyrics and writing skills, but I also think that his arrangements and melodies are devastatingly beautiful and tasteful. I recorded a few instruments with the help of some interns and engineers at Women's Audio Mission in SF."
