‘Catharsis’ - the process of releasing & thereby providing relief from strong or repressed emotions.

The original groove for the track was created for an impromptu live jam, as the backing track for a live veena performance. Keeping in mind the intended direction of the Altarium project, this 19-minute journey was developed & built over a period of 10-11 months at Nikhil’s studio in North Bangalore. Features programmed layers of doumbek & riqq - complimented with a variety of enchanting bell sounds, granular atmos that fades in and out on repeat, a punchy bassline, and a haunting, almost ‘cathartic’ electric guitar intro - all arranged carefully & mixed over a graceful tanpura sound (on E). The production is a tribute to the sense of nostalgia & euphoria that comes with listening to the sounds of our roots. A huge thanks to Ognen Zafirovski (aka Yudhisthira) for his work on the final engineering.

Fabio Danilo & Marina Anauate - two freedom loving, forward minded spiritual vigilantes - who also happen to be creative geniuses, took some time off their usual ultra-clean darkpsy productions and wrote these 3 bizarre, amygdala-tickling hybrid electronica tracks. Although at first listen it might seem like its acquired taste, it will leave you coming back for more.

Highly influenced by Avatar Records, and the collected works of legends Goa Gil (Gilbert Levy) & Nimba (Ariane McAvoy), this couple is in their creative zenith. Together they run a label called 'Pangaea Music'. Marina is a visionary artist and graphic designer, and Fabio is a full time musician.
