It slowly becomes a tradition, that with an end of another year of our activity, we prepare a christmas compilation for our listeners. Like every year, it is going to be a mixture of old and new; the ones you already know and like and the ones we would like to introduce to you for the first time. Just like in the past years, we value genre variety. From a heavy techno belter by @Keepsakes to a classic footwork warmth by @SymbioticSounds. Pochodzący z australijskiego Adelaide @Junglemire czerpie inspiracje z szerokiego spektrum muzyki i doświadczeń. Budując bogate i interesujące muzyczne warstwy, skoncentrowany na tworzeniu dźwięków z uwzględnieniem ich surowych początków, Australijczyk w swoim studio korzysta z analogowych synezatorów, automatów perkusyjnych, samplerów oraz programów komputerowych. @Junglemire odnajduje przyjemność w zacieraniu granic pomiędzy brzmieniem perkusyjnym i melodią właściwą, a klasyczne, nowoczesne i modularne syntezy dźwiękowa stanowią dla producenta nie małą fascynację.
"SHIFTED" to debiut artysty w Sequel One Records, a zarazem jego czwarta EP-ka. Wydawnictwo daje wyraz uznania dla muzyki elektronicznej, a także skupia wiele kreatywnych impulsów producenta w jednym miejscu.
EP-kę otwiera kawałek "Shades" wypełniony przefiltrowanymi dzwonami i wirującymi padami, które mają niespiesznie przygotować słuchacza na naciągającą intensywność. "Hallucinogen" usadawia się w średnim tempie, pomiędzy hip-hopowym i dance'owym beatem. Użycie MS10 i "punchy square wave lines" to ukłon w stronę twórczości Luke`a Viberta, który ma na koncie eksperymenty z acidowym brzmieniem na niskim tempie. Melodyjne perkusje oraz oniryczne pady rozbrzmiewają podczas "Grip", który jednocześnie pobudza i uspokaja. "It's Running" śmiało i wyraźnie wyłania się dzięki pulsującym hihatom i głębokim bassom, co w efekcie daje wiele zwrotów akcji przed finałem Ep-ki. Zamykający wydawnictwo "Rie" to kolejny skok tempa w towarzystwie pulsujących syntezatorów i sztywnych, hipnotycznych kicków, które zabierają słuchacza na głęboką, rytmiczną wycieczkę do końca trwania utworu.

@Junglemire is an Adelaide based producer who draws influence from a broad spectrum of music and experiences. Operating out of his home studio, @Junglemire utilises analog synths, drum machines, samplers and software to build rich and interesting textures with a strong focus on creating sounds from their raw beginnings. He finds great pleasure in blurring the lines between percussion and melody and has a fascination for vintage, modern and modular sound synthesis.
"SHIFTED" is Junglemire’s debut release for Sequel One Records and his 4th EP to date. Drawing from an overwhelming appreciation for electronic music, this EP sees him bring together many of his creative impulses. 
The introduces itself with "Shades". Its filtered bells and spiralling pads gently draw you in and prepare you for the building intensity that is to follow. "Hallucinogen" is a mid-tempo track that sits somewhere between a hip hop beat and a dance tune. With squelching MS10 synths and punchy square wave lines, this track is a nod to artists such as Luke Vibert who experiment with the sounds of acid in lower tempos. Melodic percussion and dreamy pads feature throughout "Grip" and offer a rolling movement which is both energising and calming. "It's Running" comes through bold and bright with spluttering high hats and low sub bass taking many twists and turns before ramping up towards the last track. Closing the EP is "Rie" which offers another rise in tempo with its pulsating synths and rigid, hypnotic kick drum taking the listener on a rhythmically dense ride right to the end.
