My 35th Birthday: Garage, Jackin' & Tech House Session

I've been spending a lot of time working on my music library. Currently, my library has just over 6,000 tracks. Granted, I don't play from all 6,000 each time I step behind the gear, but knowing what songs to include to select from as you play is critically important to me. With that said, I've been spending a ton of time cleaning up, and organizing my library. I use colors for energy, star ratings for likability, and a lot of tags. The tags are words and phrases that help me sort songs into "carts" or folders. To get this completed on my entire library is a massive undertaking, and I'm nowhere near complete. But, I have gone through quite a few, and anything newer has been sorted to my new standard. This allows me to follow energy levels, vibes, and feels for sets. I'm not much for preplanned sets. I usually know where I am going to start, and just ride the vibe from there. This set is my 1st set since I've completed a massive update to my library. I played a couple of different genres in this set, and it was fun. This is my 1st time genre-bending. I have more that I could say on this topic, but this is getting too long-winded. I'm a pastor, dad, husband, and child of God.  I'm broken, but  blessed. The cracks are where the Light shines through.

My mission is to help people grow closer to God with every breath and step I take. I gave my life to Christ at an early age and have grown closer through the years, spurred on by the study of the Bible, my church family, and the Chrysalis and Walk to Emmaus Communities. I accepted the call to full -time ministry as a pastor in 1999 and have served 4 different churches in Georgia. Music, preaching, and teaching are the heart of my ministry.

Outside of the pulpit, I enjoy many hobbies that help me blow off steam.  These include martial arts, woodworking, blacksmithing, gardening, cooking, and being creative.  I'm a jack of all trades and a master of none.  My philosophy is use what you have, do it yourself if you can, learn something in the process, and have lots of fun.  This channel is a place to share it all with you.

So, they call me a DJ, but in my mind, I haven't earned that title, yet. In my world, I am just a regular dude who has always loved all kinds of music. I never ventured to the playing side of the music scene. I was the guy with 2 tape decks(cassettes were so cool) sitting on the coffee table, high-speed dubbing for myself and my friends. Electro & Breaks are my preferred genres.  I'm from the Old Skool Era when the only music choices were Trance, House, and Techno. Miami B.A.S.S. and this dude named ICEE changed all of that for me. I leave my older sets uploaded for me, and others to hear and appreciate the progress I've made through my musical journey. The last 5 years have been a lot of fun.
