"You cannot put your foot in the same river twice. Once ᴇʀᴏꜱɪᴏɴ ᴛʀᴀᴄᴇ begins, the listener is quick to draw comparison to previous Glyn Maier releases, as in ɪɴᴅᴇꜰɪɴɪᴛᴇ ʟᴀᴛᴛɪᴄᴇꜱ or the B-Side from the Jungle Gym release ʜʟɪɴᴄ. Instead, what happens is the truest descriptor of a “departure” in style and pacing.

Going back into the deeper catalog of Maier’s work you would likely cross influences of dub techno in the clicking and delaying bass tones, with sharp field recording rustling and chirps that create a fecund listening ecosphere.

This new album instead changes the pace to a glacial presentation, starting with a dark and sleek motif, generously pouring into rhythm and more subdued field recordings of the Appalachian wilderness. It almost seems like an album showcasing Maier’s ability to listen as much as it is his ability to produce. The finishing work with synth and string sections is a sublime reminder of his deft and capable craft in sound. We may not stand in the same water as before, but the river has the same name."

The chronicle continues, deepening the legend… Out Under Streets serves as a milestone in the profuse and vastly intangible catalog of Bug Bus Piano – a decade into the cult project’s existence, this album stands as its first LP. But Bug Bus Piano, the originator of Hard Ambient, is perhaps better understood as an outlook or world unto itself. At any given moment it is a spirited performance of hyper-ambivalence, a refuge and processing center for personal history, populist strife and achievement, a besieged utopian commune. Out Under Streets is the newest export of this philosophy and perhaps the finest point of entry yet into all that is Bug Bus Piano. Far from didactic, the journey underground and back again concept which structures the record serves as a vehicle to consider what lies beneath the potholes in our pavement and centuries of cracked sidewalk. Every demolition or collapse and each successive failure at putting the pieces back together again. I. Products.

(2) Colonial-produce market. Coffee, tea, cocoa, sugar; spices (pepper, tobacco, pimento, cinnamon, cassia lignea, cloves, ginger, mace, nutmegs, etc.). 
(3) Fruits. Almonds, currants, figs, plums, prunes, raisins, oranges, lemons etc. Molasses (for production etc.). 
(4) Provisions. Butter ; cheese ; bacon ; hams ; lard ; pork ; beef (smoked), fish etc.

II. Raw Materials.

Of course, every product must go to market, but really great markets, as distinct from retail trade, are formed only by the great consumption goods (economically important are only the grain market, the tea, the sugar, the coffee market (wine market to some extent, and market in spirits generally), or those which are raw materials of industry: wool, silk, wood, metal market etc.)
