Beatmaker since 1994, 5kiem has been significantly influenced by artists such as A Tribe Called Quest, Pete Rock and Jay-Dee.

After an experience within a collective of artist resulting in 2 maxis (1998, 2000) and a compilation (2003), 5kiem has considerably opened up his style by exploring new directions/ musical styles and collaborating with several artists.

“Peter Pieces”, 5kiem’s last project is a vibrant tribute to the legendary New York producer Pete Rock, with as background a rethinking and a personal reinterpretation of PR’s Discography punctuated by accapellas and interviews from “soulbrotha#1”.

Beatmaker depuis 1994, 5kiem a été fortement influencé par des références musicales fortes telles que A Tribe Called Quest, Pete Rock et Jay-Dee.

Après une expérience au sein d'un collectif qui a abouti à la sortie de 2 maxis en 1998 et 2000 et d'une compilation en 2003, son style s'est fortement ouvert n'hésitant pas à explorer des styles différents, à multiplier les collaborations.

Son dernier projet "Peter Pieces" est un vibrant hommage au légendaire producteur new-yorkais Pete Rock, avec comme trame de fond, une réinterprétation et une relecture très personnelle de sa discographie ponctuées par des accapellas et des interviews du "soulbrotha#1".
