Man gets depressed with work-a-day world so flies off to Mexico where he consumes too much tequila but then meets a beautiful Mexican girl and falls deeply in love. Classic story of romantic break up and heart break. Woman laments loss of her love so she does what many people do: sits in her apartment drinkin' and smokin' and feelin' alone. Nice lyrics and instrumentation in my view. What do you think?

The classic song with one of the best melodies of all time. The lyrics were written in 1910 by Frederic Weatherly and refitted to the tune Londonderry Air in 1913. To my surprise, the song works well recovered in a dream pop vein with female vocals. You must hear the beautiful female chorus!! Complete lyrics below:
