BELAFONTE!!! is a musical collective based in Galway, Ireland, Wesht! It is an 'original music only' collective. It is based around 3 simple rules - 1. NO EGO'S. 2. NO SELF-CONSCIOUS BEHAVIOUR. 3. UNLIMITED EQUALITY. Any breach of these rules (as it would be harmful to the ideal BELAFONTE!!! strives for) would result in immediate shunning! It is open to anyone who is interested in collaborating under the name BELAFONTE!!! Our aim is to make beautiful music with as many people as possible. Let's make it happen!

A Limerick-born, Galway-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, he first started writing songs between busking sessions on a San Diego boardwalk. Since then, he has honed his performance skills by  playing wherever he happens to end up, ranging from Andalusian rooftop fiestas  to bars in Northern Vietnam to music festivals located not too far from the arctic circle.

Heavily influenced by songwriters such as Tom Waits and Randy Newman as well as blues folk troubadours such as Rory Gallagher and Jack White, Dylan sings wryly intricate songs with a distinct growl and a strong focus on melody.

His news EP ‘Make Plans’, will be released on September 7th.

Tracy Bruen, Galway's Original Solo Artist of the Year 2015 (Galway Advertiser) plays both as a solo artist and with her band. Their sound is created with a combination of piano, guitars, ukulule, flute, drums, synth, bass, fiddle, banjo, vocal harmonies and stories.

Together they have played at Electric Picnic, Body and Soul, Westport Festival and Sunflower Fest and and many well known venues across the country, the UK and Germany.

Their set at Body and Soul 2014 was described in the Irish Examiner as "excellent" and as one of the best of the lesser known acts at the festival. They also featured as a top pick in the Electric Picnic official brochure.

She recently released the video for "Make Mama Proud" which will be on her upcoming album due for release in spring 2017. Tracy is a former member of My Fellow Sponges, and played with fellow artists Steven Sharpe, Steve Bennett, Dylan Murphy, Tara Stacey and Liam Doherty in The Gingerbeard Family. She also hosts the Open Mic night in the Róisín Dubh.
