The Bosh Bros! are back again in May and hot on the heels of the Atomized EP with their follow up release, ‘Russian Fighter’. Another peak time, Hard House workout, destined to rip-up dance floors everywhere! 

This is the first of two pumping mixes, using the main riff from 1991 rave classic, MIG 29 – MIG 29 (Russian Fighter, get it) and both mixed down and mastered by Dave Owens at Turtledog studios.

The ‘Mental Organist’ mix is just that. A driving yet bouncy, and funky bassline all in one, with said mental organ, well… going mental, and the huge Mig 29 rave riff taking centre stage. All backed up with big synths and stabs, cheeky chops, and manic breakbeats. This is a bangin’. “LET THE BASS KICK”…... WHOOP!

The ‘Bring the Noize’ mix sees the Bosh Bros! indulge in their early hard house roots from 1999 using a familiar offbeat hard house bassline, synths and stabs, breakbeats and distorted beat chops, building and building towards the main riff from the 1991 rave classic, MIG 29 – MIG 29 (Russian Fighter) in the break. Dave Owens at Turtledog studios adds a sprinkling of his usual magic to the mix-down and mastering to make this a more heads down ‘ave it version of Russian Fighter, but just as manic. “HERE WE GO AGAIN……BASS!”

Bosh Bros! - Russian Fighter (Bring The Noize Mix) coming in June

After being a regular at the mighty Gatecrasher from 1996-2003, and having experienced some of the best times of my life there. I thought I would put a mix together of how I feel GC should have developed and sound today. It probably doesn't sound like this though.

For me it would have progressed to a harder sound, but maintained that trance lushness that it was known for.

This mix is tough, driving and super euphoric. The tracks are no more than 4 years old and for me show that there are pockets of fantastic music out there.
