Weeping in the Desert (At the End of Myself)

I love all music,  Played guitar since  I was 14. Listened to Mike Bloomfield a lot.  plus other bands and artist. Few years ago starting writing on my Piano. Made recordings on here.  cannot play much guitar anymore, age slowed me down , fingers and theory. So I sit here and play the Piano Late at night, to relaxing and therapeutic songs that I write and share. Plus it gives me adventure. I also donated to the therapist who need different songs for their patients. I hope you like what I do.

I started playing the piano when I was five years old.   I also play some accordion and harp, and I am hoping to improve my guitar playing.   

What you hear here are 250+ of my original keyboard based compositions, mostly written in my spare time outside of work between 2022 and now.   

I like to add in layers and nuances and extra tracks.  I’d like to get better at midi editing and composing and making my own drum tracks.   I’m an imperfectionist and incorrigible publisher of songs with errors in them.  

My main keyboard at the moment is a Nord Stage 4 88 key instrument of my dreams; and I’m still learning and experimenting with its features and capabilities.   

I made some really cool iridescent and black high quality vinyl sevenmiddlenames stickers: sometimes I send them in the mail (for free!) to kind repeat listeners.  If you’ve read this far, perhaps you’re one of them.   The honor of anyone hearing and enjoying my work in a world of so many competing demands for attention is motivating and inspiring: thank you.

My seven middle names  (six of which I made up and gave to myself when I was 15) are for my true friends to know.

I am a pianist and composer who has studied the art of music for over 15 years. I have been lucky enough to develop my skill and passion at some of the most reputable schools, including Nakas Conservatory in Athens, Edinburgh College HNC and Newcastle University for music. I am constantly working on developing myself and my career in the music industry. The following pieces that I have composed, are soundtracks that are inspired by different genres of movies.

When I was about 12, my dad bought us a Wurlitzer organ that I was immediately drawn to.  I took lessons for a couple of years, and then started playing (for pay!!) at a local church near Eureka, CA.  Then we moved back to Sacramento and I played at a couple of churches there (still getting paid, wow).  Anyway, when I moved to college in Moses Lake, WA, where I still live, there was no organ around but there was a piano.  From that day forth I became a lover of the piano.  I've played on church worship teams for over 30 years, as well as several rock bands, but my real passion is writing music.  I find it fascinating that from 12 different tones, an unlimited amount of music can be written - kind of like snowflakes, or God, even.  Over the last few years I've been influenced greatly by Yanni, as well as Brian Crain, Giovanni, and others.  I write instrumental music, featuring the piano and often supported with strings, etc - plus I get out my bass guitar on some songs.  I hope my music will bring healing and rest to you.  My first album is called "A Time of Refreshing", the second one is "A Time of Hope", the third "A Time of Healing" and the fourth "A Time of Reflection".  They are all available on Amazon, iTunes, CDbaby, etc.  The CD versions have all the final revisions and are also in WAV files which is supposed to be better quality than the MP3.  My current project will be called "A Time of Joy" (seeing a pattern here?).
My lovely wife and I have nine kids (yes, all ours), several of whom have followed me musically and I'm sure will surpass me at some point.  (They just told me they have ALREADY surpassed me......oh well).  We love each other, we love God, and we love music.  I'm thankful for SoundCloud as well.  Have a great day!
