Since its beginnings within the Euphoria collective in the 90s, Jaime Torrealba aka JIMI has constantly explored the deepest corners of house and minimal music. A central figure in the Chilean scene, he has established his unique style: a subtle combination of stripped-back grooves, hypnotic textures, and a dub-techno approach that has distinguished him for nearly three decades. It is therefore only natural that JIMI today joins the Fantastic Friends family with his new project: Pretty Things EP. This EP presents itself as a sound exploration between minimal sophistication and organic energy. JIMI confirms that he remains an essential voice in the underground scene, loyal to his heritage while constantly seeking new artistic paths.

Since his massive ‘Works On Sunday EP’ from the middle of 2016 Archie’s star has risen considerably, peaking with his inclusion at no.70 on RA’s end of year DJ Poll. Here he steps up for EP duties once more on his spiritual home of Fuse London; ‘Driven to Distraction’ kicks things off with a bubbling acidic groover while ‘Telegram’ also harnesses the power of the 303 albeit in a more trippier form. ‘Channelled’ rounds things off with an elegantly floated groove, it’s melodic elements and aquatic kick heralding the shift in seasons beautifully.

Now, back in October 2019, it's time to talk about 'Spotlight' their new three-track EP that continues with the good vibes between Roush Label and the italian duo. Title cut opens with the common an infectious Proudly People's rhythm. The warped vocal and snare drum rolls gives an extra to the powerful beat. Next up, 'Module One' starts with a funky bouncing bassline since its first beats with a crispy 909 open hat. An acid lead makes an stunning appear on the bridge of the track becoming a great refreshment. 'That's Right' closes the EP as a great tech house roller with sharp hats and predominant snares. UK producer Charlie Banks joins Archie Hamilton's Moscow Records with his 'Flight Mode' EP packed withe deep chugging house, including a remix by the label boss himself who flips the original with his signature sound. 

Hamilton has been playing the Gottwood Festival DJ’s music in his sets for years now and following his ‘One Morning In Staines' EP on Moss Co. Charlie Banks has seen further support from artists like Seb Zito, Diego Krause, and Traumer. Appearing on Moscow Records, the breakthrough London-based producer returns for his second statement release of 2019.

The ‘Flight Mode’ EP is set for release October 25.
