Acclaimed independent electronic music label Selador Recordings has announced details of its landmark 10th Anniversary celebrations, which includes an exciting array of releases (on vinyl and digitally) featuring all-star collaborations and a series of worldwide events.

Selador was started by Dave Seaman and Steve Parry back in 2013 and has been at the forefront of club culture for the last decade, bringing its mantra of quality House and Techno and all shades in-between to clubbers and music fans around the globe. The label’s distinctive rabbit head logo has become a byword for genuine quality and consistency in a saturated marketplace - so it’s only fitting that fate has decreed that the birthday coincides with the Year of the Rabbit.

Selador will present a selection of exciting releases befitting of this milestone, with an array of artists who’ve appeared on the label over the last decade being invited to collaborate ontracks together. It’s an impressive list which showcases the respect in which original Dave Seaman and Steve Parry are held. 

As per with Selador, it’s a truly international affair, with every continent represented. The mouth-watering partnerships include:

The first digital release, Selador Decade EP 1, will be released on 24 th March. The Selador Decade 10th Birthday Vinyl EP will be released on 21 st April. The first Selador 10 th Anniversary party will be held in London at Studio 338 on Easter Sunday, 9 th April, in partnership with Warm Up Festival. The inimitable Hernan Cattaneo is jetting in to play an exclusive London set, joining Steve Parry and Dave Seaman, long time cornerstone of the label Just Her, and the mighty Warm Up residents.
Steve Parry of Selador said: “It’s hard to believe that we’re the owners of a label that’s been running for a whole decade. It sometimes still feels like we’re still a relatively new kid on the block in the grand scheme of things but with 10 years now under our belt. They say time flies when you’re having fun and our first decade certainly has flown by but I won’t say it’s been easy, because it is hard work, but I do genuinely love it. It’s a true labour of love”.

Berlin's multi-dimensional Joplyn brings her artful know-how to a superb new single on Get Physical Music.

'Speak to Me' is a steamy, emotionally intense track with brooding drums. It has the iconic melodic phrase from M.A.N.D.Y. & Booka Shade's ‘Body Language’ repeating subtly amongst intimate vocal whispers, cowbells and soft shakers, breathing new life into a classic dancefloor refrain. As the warm grooves roll deep, a breakdown allows the melody to move front and centre before the competing drums roll again.

Joplyn is of German, Vietnamese and Canadian descent. She is a young songwriter, producer & live artist who cooks up compelling sounds on the fly using vocoder FXs, mixing loops, and playing keys. Her unique talents have seen her take to the road on two US mini-tours whilst she held a residency at HI Ibiza last summer. She has released music on Watergate & Crosstown Rebels and has seen her music remixed by Damian Lazarus, Booka Shade & Einmusik.

Her unique post-genre sound is a mysterious, dark, futuristic mix of electronic styles steeped in melancholy and inward reflection, as showcased in a recent edition of Mixmag's The Lab in LA. Joplyn is also the German Ambassador for the Spotify EQUAL campaign, has accumulated over thirteen million streams on all platforms and has music licensed for the Netflix show 'We Are The Wave.'
