A three section fall impression . First, sweet colours, hazy and warm days. Second, more vivid leaf colours, cold and dark evenings, frosty mornings. Third, strong north winds, leaves blowing everywhere, the first sleet storms.

The van broke down
just 5 miles from O'Hare
Not sure what we were doing
Had no tickets anyway
As the sun set in the West
We walked East
Planes roaring overhead

We ran as fast as we could run
Escape our only goal
From small town suffocation
And our designated roles
BBQs on Saturdays
Cold Millers with the guys
The vanishing horizon
Matched the dulling in our eyes

Not quite a decision
That either of us made
But a moment of clarity
And what it meant to stay
It never matters
Which road we take

This is a lovely song written and produced by my friend John Wright. John is not on SC, so I thought I'd showcase his brilliance on my page. Some other credits include the beautiful voice of Clare O'rourke. Bass part is played by Tony Harwood. John played nearly everything else. I added a couple of acoustic guitar strums. I like Soundcloud because it's a friendly community for sharing our music. When I comment on a track, I like to say something about how you wrote, performed or produced it. I have musically diverse interests: pop/rock, jazz-rock fusion, prog & alternative rock, blues, classical and neoclassical, to mention some.
