A little something Phil McWalter sent for me to listen to years ago. I sprinkled a little too much pixie dust on this one and so had to scrap the idea although he pulled off quite a nice mix on his site.

This song is about that dividing line between reality and the in-between. That space where your chattering mind continues to chatter but that wise essence speaks just beyond the still harbor breathing; allowing your loud to be just a little bit softer now; floating down near that water line. You can paint your masterpiece from there too; perhaps along a quiet beach. Muddle the fresh mint leaves my friend; yes, Sugar and Lime, stirred easy.

I recently renovated this one. An instrumental, with moments where you can tap along, and slower reflective moments. It signifies the ebb and flow of a workday. So I named it Working Day!

In life everything is a beginning. There is always a first time for everything, and seeing my daughters grow up and experiment and see new things and games, made me remember the adventurers who discovered something for the first time: a new landscape, a new pyramid, a new invention, a continent. unknown by who discovers it....

That inspired me in this composition.

Never use so many harps in the same composition.

My ipad was saturated and did not allow to clearly hear what I was doing until I converted it to a wav file.

18 native instrument tracks from Music Studio2 and forum Xewton and 10 tracks from KV331.

Made on ipad and mixed in my car. As a curiosity, this was one of the first compositions that I mixed in the car that I had then, when I put BT in it (I used a Parrot kit), since originally it did not incorporate it. For the most curious ... it was an Opel Vectra.

This is a ghost story...

I’m waiting, just outside the garden wall
I’m standing where our vows were made
Still waiting, underneath the moonless sky
As the final light of summer fades

now one by one, the streetlights glow
And this becomes a magic place
But if you don’t come home, I’ll turn to stone
Like the statues by the garden gate

Heaven, is a place I cannot reach,  
So I walk this garden faithfully
My heaven, will be the day we’ll finally be
Where the flowers grow up wild and free

And as they bloom their perfume grows
It lingers in the humid air
If I could, I’d give all I owned
If in this moment we could share

I won’t give up, I won’t give in
I’m always waiting here for you
To see your smile, to touch your skin
As seasons come and go I’m here for you
 
One day we will rise up, above this twilight garden
When at last we’re together again

After updating my new time travel profile pic, I figured it was also time to refresh the bio. The amount of world-class talent on the Cloud never ceases to amaze me. I don’t say that lightly – I’ve learned so much from so many of you. There are artists here I genuinely consider among the best musical talents I’ve heard anywhere. And I have heard a ton of music.
I’m a lifelong music addict. For me, music can be transformative, cathartic, joyful, and intellectual – often all at once. My taste? Almost anything done well. Almost. My own music is eclectic: from acoustic guitar pieces to jazz fusion, to prog/alternative/psychedelic rock, to electronica.
What really keeps me here, though, is the community – the interaction, and the sense of connection that somehow forms even when we never meet in person. The goodwill and respect are something special, and I don’t take that for granted.
Finally, regarding recording – if you’re still reading! – my humble studio hasn’t changed in 15 years. I’m even still running Windows 7 to support my old Steinberg DAW. No AI tools – just me, I like to control the physical process at every step, from idea, to playing, editing, mixing, and final production.
