Ever the one to whip up a quirky little number, Swedish talent Zoo Brazil returns to Great Stuff with a typically bizarre cut. Ground centers around a warbling horn section refrain, whose playfulness is augmented by a heavily-swung, almost swingbeat style groove and incessant offbeat synth bouncing. It&#8217;s warped, wonky and a lot of fun - and sounds like little else around right now. 

Whomi&#8217;s remix strips things back to a more subtle level, with succinct beats underpinned by a throbbing bassline and a slow-burning approach to melodic development. Its warm melody and gradually unfolding refrains have a hint of the progressive about them, and it provides a distinctively different and more mellow vibe to the original.

Completing the package, Fronter&#8217;s chunky remix provides a slab of turgid techno - using those horns in the breakdown to power some immense builds, but focusing on his own percolating percussive style for the most part. Thick, undulating bass drives this stadium-sized beast along with hefty intensity.

Australian upstart Bass Kleph is back with a sizable banger for those sweaty summer floors in the shape of Back To The Funk. 

His galloping groove is laden with feisty horn and piano samples, looped in highly effective fashion to create a carnival atmosphere as deranged FX pumps away rhythmically. The bassline is simple but effective, allowing the high-octane elements to do the damage, his masterful production skills whipping the whole thing up into one mighty peak-time frenzy. 

Rober Gaez chunks things up considerably, with syncopated jazzy drum fills adding some infectious rhythm atop his weighty sub bassline. He chops up the horns into bitesize checks and peppers them across his bouncing, swirling concoction, making for a more hard-hitting rework with some subtle touches along the way. Oh, and a huge build-up and drop, of course.

Bass Kleph - Back to Funk (Original Mix)

After a quick breather Ramon Tapia is back on home territory. His Say What? imprint proudly presents &#8216;Elleonore&#8217;s Dream&#8217; and welcomes techno heavy weight Christian Smith as the remixer on duty.

Influenced by the wonderful aesthetics of classic Detroit techno, &#8216;Elleonore&#8217;s Dream&#8217; follows a different approach then other Tapia productions. The track&#8217;s foundation is of course Ramon&#8217;s trademark groove programming - but the soul is injected by the warm old-school synth textures. Finding the right balance between energy and musical playfulness, this track is sure to be a highlight in many dj sets this year.

Christian Smith gives &#8216;Elleonore&#8217;s Dream&#8217; the main stage - prime time techno treatment. Raising the energy level while still keeping the original feel. Christian is placing effects right where they should be and extends the break for maximum impact.

Sweden’s Andy Notalez delivers on this beast.. Black Bunker is a dark serious techno hit. Dark yet driving in that Yin Yang style. Tested out on the crowd and you can see the techno delight in there eyes.. Very very sexy..

Czech republic next.. Miquel delivers Blue Moon.. Kick ass techno track done almost in that sexy tech house style. Miquel has been a long time Yin Yang resident and this track shows why. His production skills are fantastic. This will be highly regarded by many a Yin yang fan.. Gorgeous Tech.

Hailing from Bosnia.. Mika with Wormhole. Mika delivers his 100 release with grace and style.. Another kick ass track that will appeal to all techno and crossover DJs alike. Mika is another favourite of even the likes of Paul Oakenfold and this is why.. Techno that devotees dance floors.. Pure genius..

The ever-prolific Steve Mulder continues his attack on the cream of the crop of Techno labels and his Lockdown EP on Respekt is another notch in the proverbial crotch.The original mix of "Lockdown" goes for a slightly tribal approach, with a rolling rhythm section supported by juicy sub bass. Dislocated, metallic riffs seize control of the affair and intertwine with industrial bleeps and post-apocalyptic sensibilities.Picking it up from there, Frankyeffe's version relies on the funkier edge of the original, focusing on the percussion-laden drums and a heads-down, dubbier vibe.Closing up, we have "Avenger", which steps into higher gear, with crunchy hats and persistent beeps. More liquid bass expands everything to titanic proportions while a cyclic riff does its business throughout the whole track.
