On October 17th, 2012 we were blessed to chop it up with one of the realists in the Bay Area! On that day we did not know or think that this would be the last time we would be talking to the dude we all were set in stone that we would be doing this again many times! I pride myself on representing my area and our culture and on that note, I just wanted to take some time and dedicate this one to The Jacka and his legacy that he and his crew built in the bay area! We go over a lot of dope content in this interview and I dope some of his classics in between! I'm so thankful to be able to have the opportunity to do this and represent my region! This album is really a nod to all my ghees that can't go anywhere without a marker, and can't help but get paint on they hands. My best embodiment of the eras of graffiti I am most familiar with cause thats what I was seeing. Something about late 90s early 2000s graffiti the rawness the repetition of it reminds me of so many aspects of my youth its almost inescapable. Everything about that inspired this, enjoy.

With the worldwide success of our Soulection Compilation Volume One which featured some of the most promising producers of our generation two years ago in January 2011, it was essential to create volume two. It's amazing to reflect on our progression and how far we've come. Here we are 27 releases later with our first official record! It has almost been a year since we started to compile this project. Since day one we've known that we would get to this very point.

The Time in Between captures genre-bending compositions from creative an entire year, this compilation delivers a timeless journey through future bass, boom bap, glitchy uptempo soulful melodies and then some.
