Welcome to my dopamine trigger zone

I like to spend my hours toiling with raw sounds that are slowly fashioned into something a good deal different from where they started. I work in the box and make regular heavy use of granular synthesis, compression, pitch shifting, distortion, eq, saturation, reverb, delay  and a host of other techniques to gradually craft something that I have not heard before but at the same time in some way, I somehow recognise it. This mix of sounds is built mixed and mastered in such a way that can it can then go on to ultimately trigger my dopamine award system when uploaded.  Once uploaded I typically make 10-20 subtle revisions which helps sharpen and build the buzz/hit. If I'm really lucky the track might also have a positive effect on others who listen to it as we make connections on the sounds or perhaps a deeper understanding/recognition of how we all might arrive at our final creations. Once the dopamine hits level off it's starting to be that time to start the whole process all over again.
