Mystique Wind | Oleg's Mushroom Hat Reworked

This cover was originally planned to be a collaboration, but it has been aborted about a month ago, since my alleged collaborative partners stated that I was "unable to cooperate on the sort of creative level that they generally expect" from those who have the privilege to work with them. Being well aware of my inadequacy, I usually try to make music for fun, simply because I love doing that. I can't spend as much time as I'd like to on my music, unfortunately, so I really can't afford to waste it: that's why I eventually decided to add a few drums and keyboards parts to the aborted collaboration and release it. Please watch out for your ears while listening to it, as it probably sounds poor and shoddy. It surely does if compared to the original, that goes without saying. May Syd Barrett rest in peace, despite of all of the slandering and treachery he had to endure.

I'd like to dedicate this cover to my uncle, who initiated me into the sonic mysteries of "Ummagumma" at a very early age, giving me a chance to open up the doors of my perception.

Me and Hideo rock-in' it out, good old spontaneous jam style, in fun-fun-fun mode. Nothing's better than a live jam...I l-i-v-e for it! In case you might be wondering, the far off distant psychedelic vocals are in fact deliberate...I tried to create the picture that we are up in the cosmic realm among the planets and stars jamming it up oh so blissfully, trying to please the Gods, the universe and all who dwell within. We are physically so far away from one another yet spiritually, we are so near and ready...ready to give you the instant magical vibrational feeling. At least we hope we're doing that. The intox-hypno-trance vocals are actually me telling Hideo how excited I am to be jamming with him....jamming to his super charged up kit-percussion! From the first moment I heard Hideo play his drums, I was completely gone as in stoned out of my mind. We're both feeling happy high elated in the Cosmos so please do come along and join us in our Happy Hap-Hap number...take your first dose now XOXOXO

Hendrik @cosmic-ratzzz sent me this progression to see what I could do with it.. I added rhythm guitar & vocals to his bass, drums & a killer slide guitar solo. "Sister Sadie" is the title of the instrumental version with Florian Luthi & Joerxworx and was the inspiration for my lyrics. Hope you enjoy our "Sister Sadie Blues".

I am a Drummer/Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist/Producer. I've played in various types of bands over the years, Rock, Folk, Irish, Reggae, Jazz, Funk, Country, and Avant Garde. I'm best known for playing drums through multiple re-incarnations of Shiva's Headband, the eclectic, legendary psychedelic era band from Austin. One of my songs appears on "In the Primo of Life", and I co-wrote "Roots Rock Station" with Spencer Perskin, which first appeared on "Remember The Armadillo" and was re-released on "The Temple of Rock N Roll". I also co-produced the CD, "So You Don't Go Barefoot", by Sue Perskin of Shiva's. This cloud focuses on my songwriting. Credit is given to any and all musicians involved.
