Chanson hommage au groupe Indochine. J'ai imaginé cette chanson, comme si je l'écrivais pour Indochine, en reprenant leurs codes musicaux et leur façon d'écrire leurs textes. A cause de sa ressemblance assumée avec leur style, cette chanson se situe en marge de mon oeuvre musicale.

L’ombre de mon vaisseau, plane sur les dunes,
Je tourne lentement, autour de la lune,
En apesanteur, mes cheveux dressés,

Si je perds le contrôle, que les moteurs s’affolent,
Je tombe comme une pierre, en route vers la Terre.

Je fais un parachute, de ma toile cirée,

08 Step Into The World (Jarre Inspired)

“A Dance with the Devil” was written for The One Who Watched from the Fire, where the Devil dismantles not with fire or fury but with poise. This piece imagines that moment as a slow, deliberate waltz: every phrase another step, every silence another turn, each one pulling the protagonist deeper into a choreography he never agreed to but somehow knows.

The music reflects that unnatural elegance:

A restrained rhythm keeps time like a hand on your back, guiding without force.Strings and piano circle one another in phrases that feel hypnotic graceful, but never free. Low textures linger beneath, an undertow reminding you that this dance is not yours to lead.

Where Never Was is the Devil’s memory of a broken man, and Human Too is the man’s own attempt to reconcile with his shadow, this track is the process itself, the seduction, the dismantling, the slow realization that every step you’ve taken has been on the Devil’s floor all along.

This is a Romantic to Powerful Symphonic Drama written for full orchestra.
I started with the piano track which is the bed for the whole piece and then wrote the upper melodies and orchestration. This was originally composed in 2005.

General life - info / bio - - -
I began my musical education with listening as an infant and at the age of 7, in 1958, composed my first piece of music which was a brass quartet.

Early influences were guided by the musical taste of my Mother which was often Tchaikovsky and other romantic composers, with an occasional diversion to Big Band and pop music of the late 40's and early 50's.

The Boys Club Band, Grade School Choir and High School Band were a great education in basic orchestration and harmony and in the mid 60's, and self taught as a guitarist, I began live performance, which lasted until 1999.

Music and technology have always been my main interests and as those two elements continued to merge through the late 90's to the present, they have led me to the point where I now can successfully realize my earliest childhood dreams of musical expression in composing for full orchestra.

Special thanks to Mom for the great listening experience, brother Greg for the continued guidance in music from a formal perspective, and brother Lew for the technological expertise.
