The latest release on Suffused Music finds the label embarking on its most anticipated project to date. With a four year history of showcasing the best in progressive minded sounds the Lithuanian imprint now unveils a new single from one of the scenes most influential and beloved artists Cid Inc. The Finnish producer has been a pillar of excellence with releases on Guy J's Lost & Found Records, Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and his own Replug imprint, combined with numerous Beatport awards and gigs at the world's most prestigious venues. Now making his much anticipated debut on Suffused Music Cid Inc presents his latest studio creation 'Obsidian' alongside a remix from Suffused & Ewan Rill. 

Forever treading the waters of progressive house and techno, 'Obsidian' once again finds Cid Inc breaking down traditional genres barriers. Rippling waves of bass power the foundation as astral designs and cosmic effects fill in the framework. Acidic rhythms sit at the core, zoning through prismatic modulation as the effects intensify and percussion fires, before eventually breaking down into a bed of sonic desolation. Dramatic, vivid and incredibly detailed the centrepiece unfolds with dance floor dynamics in mind, culminating with a wash of noise as the infectious groove returns for a strong finish.

The lone interpretation of 'Obsidian' is provided by Suffused & Ewan Rill who are making their collaborative debut on the label. Hailing from Lithuania and Russia respectively the duo are fresh off a release on Tash's Movement Recordings and continue their fruitful partnership here with an amazing interpretation of 'Obsidian'. Keeping the foundation intact the infectious energy of the original is well maintained and with a greater emphasis on effects it's a tantalizing seven minute journey to say the least. As rhythmic hooks begin to fire the breakdown ensues, with flashes of noise, building drums and sonic sweeps leading the way to a cosmic drop, ultimately spearheading an electrically charged finale. 

A monumental release from one the most innovative artists in progressive house and a foreshadowing of more groundbreaking projects to come on Suffused Music.

After a week of posting my own mixtape, I am proud to present a very special and exclusive live guestmix by a talented name; Baris.
By end of 2000’s, Baris was introduced with Spanish acoustic and classic Rodrigues melodies and made amateur studio records. At his late teenager ages, he had been musically inclined to Flamenco folk arts Soleares and Alegrias.
At beginning of his 20's, during his holiday to Netherland, he was influenced by Armin van Buuren’s trance melodies. After this spark, nothing was going to be in the same way. He started to follow "A State of Trance" series for years. 
As Baris was getting older, higher than 130 bpm melodies started hassling him. He was in search of something performed in slower bpm. Meanwhile, he was also familiarized the world of music recording, software instruments and professional music production.
After his bachelor's degree, he decided to dive into the amazing world of progressive and deep house together with melodic techno. Now he is sure he is in the right river of music forest. Baris now plays only in clubs and is getting prepared to show his talent to the bigger audiences in several electronic festivals.

Now I give a summer break of about a month, hope to be back soon with new and fresh sets.

In the height of the northern hemisphere summer, Andre Sobota turned up the volume with his outstanding "Unmute" EP. A regular on Proton and Particles, Sobota's work is now revisited courtesy of remix from a quartet of Australian, Argentinean and Mexican talents.

Australian artists, Gavin Griffin and Matty Doyle have ridden the crest of a sonic wave in recent months with their GMJ and Matter soubriquets. Highly accomplished individually, each has performed across their native Australia and internationally at a variety of clubs and festivals, not least at the globally renowned "Rainbow Serpent Festival". Both regulars on Proton Music with their individual work that includes the recent "Sovereign Reality" and "We Are Dust" offerings, their combined work has seen May 2016's "Superposition" and June 2017's "Osmosis" demonstrate the duo's rare ability to craft a sparkling underground sound that is as unique as it is impressive. A December 2016 remix of Pete K is now followed by a second, in the shape of Sobota's title track. With a strong rhythmic narrative, the GMJ and Matter remix is replete with additional production material as the shimmering pads of the original are gently revealed alongside a floor-shaking groove and emotive melody. Building effortlessly the intelligent use of original components and striking new motifs, provide an epic offering that has enough class to attend any royal garden party.

From the sprawling Argentinean metropolis that is, Buenos Aries, Nicolás Rada is a man with a rich musical heritage to his name. An accomplished pianist and percussionist, his forays into dance music production have been highly impressive, influenced as he is by the sounds of Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J and Nick Warren. A regular on the Balkan Connection family, over a century of production credits can be found against the main label and the 'South American' variant. Landmarked by 2015's debut full-length "Air Ports" album for BCSA, Rada has gone on to see his work featured on Superordinate, Soundteller and One Of A Kind. August 2017's twin-track "Sheremetyevo" EP has been a notable highlight for Particles as Nicolás Rada now debuts on Proton Music with his remix of "Unmute". Building in elegant fashion, a deep and dramatic bass note accompanies a strong kick and evolving percussive framework, before a muted arpeggio filters into aural view alongside textured pads. Reworking Sobota's original components in clever fashion, the sounds of the original resonate in listener consciousness as a raft of new material finds its way into the third movement in pulsating fashion.

Owner of Hookah Records and a range of live label showcases that have featured the likes of Kastis Torrau and Guy Mantzur, Hot TuneiK is a force to be reckoned with; the Mexican producer creating a plethora of production material that found itself featured on leading underground imprints. Thus, work for 3rd Avenue, Balkan Connection and Dopamine Music are testament to an enduring sound that first debuted on House Tribe Records in 2012. An appearance on the "Spring Particles 2016" compilation showcased impressive original work and a trio of remixes now pave the way for a Proton debut. Taking a typically groove-laden approach to his interpretation of "Departure", the Hot TuneiK remix is wonderfully redolent in the shimmering melodic themes of Sobota's original as they rise and fall, accompanied by strong kick and rich percussive layers. Introducing a host of new melodic elements at the mid-point breakdown, Hot TuneiK's skill is to rework them into a seamless bend of original parts and additional production material that evolves elegantly into the third movement.

A trio of new remixes from GMJ and Matter, Nicolás Rada and Hot TuneiK have turned the volume on Andre Sobota's "Unmute" all the way to 11.

Over the years, Berlin has been cited as Oliver Koletzkis main point of reference and, more importantly, his endless source of inspiration. His albums Großstadtmärchen and Großstadtmärchen 2 are wholehearted tributes of the German capital, as its importance is continuously hinted and charted. Friedrichshain, one of Berlins vibrant districts, has always held a special place in Olivers heart. This is where he started out when he first moved to the city, and this is where he lives now. Kreuzbergs wall paintings adorn Stil Vor Talent s cover sleeves and host their headquarters. There are little to no corners in the city that havent brought a spark of inspiration into the mix. The Schneeweiss compilation series, now at its eighth installment, is built as a form of tribute to all these particles, tied in together into a series of carefully curated tracks. Each compilation stands at the intersection of the musical and cultural surroundings most prominent of their respective times, acting both as a reminder as well as a timeless sound capsule for the years to come.
