South Africa's Dirkie Coetzee and Namibia's Pierre Pienaar are not only great friends but also musical brothers and are about to perform a joint Open-to-Close at Dirkie's club night We Are Trance in Johannesburg at time of writing! They share a love of driving and uplifting trance music, so this collaboration is exactly what you'd expect and hope for - soaring melodies, pounding beats and plenty of euphoria. In case you were wondering, the title is a Fijian word that means 'to bring life' or 'to bring fire'.

Talla 2XLC is an expert on reworking trance classics and bring them up to date for the new generation of trance lovers. His brand new Technoclub Retro release is his collaboration with DJ Buzz for the seminal track Whales. The original track released on Poison records back in 1998 was co-produced by the legendary Torsten Stenzel who is behind countless trance classics. Talla 2XLC adds his pounding tough metallic kick, rough energetic driving basslines and thunderous percussion while on top at the first half he teases us with short extracts of the unforgettable melody. The breakdown is long and atmospheric with sea waves, warm airy pads, orchestral strings and whales cry sound effects that considered to be deeply therapeutic for the troubled human souls to listen and relax for a while until Talla 2XLC unleashes the memorable riff all over the place that still evokes so much emotion and captures our imagination. It’s definitely one of those melodies that easily carry you away without any effort and make you really happy and optimistic even if you feel that nothing in your life is going as you wish to be. The perfect escape within an ocean of sound waves is the perfect remedy to uplift your spirit and feel the joy of music by being peaceful and full of love and care for each other. GRAMMY-nominated production duo Gabriel & Dresden release the ‘Kinetic Cinema EP’, out now on Anjunabeats.

Josh Gabriel & Dave Dresden, aka Gabriel & Dresden, have earned a dedicated and unwavering fanbase over the past two decades of their career. Gabriel & Dresden made their Anjunabeats album debut with ‘The Only Road’ in 2017. Title track ‘Only Road’,’ co-written and performed by Sub Teal, went on to be remixed by Cosmic Gate and was subsequently nominated for a GRAMMY in 2018.

The duo have three BBC Radio 1 Essential Mixes under their belt, won Best American DJ, Best Producers and Best Remixers at the IDMA Awards, scored 21 #1’s on the Billboard Dance Chart, peaked at #20 on DJ Mag Top 100 DJ’s poll and have performed in over 40 countries worldwide.

Gabriel & Dresden dropped the seismic single ‘Kinetic Cinema’ earlier this month, which earned support from the likes of Argy, Joris Voorn, Nicole Moudaber, Kevin De Vries, Einmusik and more.

They now follow it up with the ‘Kinetic Cinema EP’, a celebration of club music that the duo have road tested across North America since the start of 2024. Featuring four tracks designed for the dancefloor, the EP is inspired by the wide range of music that the pair have listened to over the past few years.
