Kotelett is one half of Kotelett & Zadak, the idiosyncratic house duo who have clocked up releases on respected imprints including Katermukke, Selador and Natura Viva. Recording solo for his latest single, Kotelett now returns to Poker Flat Recordings. 

I Don't Know starts life as a moody, slick deep house cut, but transforms into a joyously uplifting floor-filling with the graudal introduction of snatches of vocal and triumphant piano chords. On remix duties, Audiojack beef everything up, adding an overall techier flavour complete with rumbling bassline and epic breakdown.

Said the artist of its creation: "This started life as just a fun jam when I couldn't get on with another remix. But the fun of the nineties piano chords finally got me to put my hands up in the studio, and convinced me to finish it.

The vocal would have been a taboo for me for a long time, now it really gets into me! It's always a nice feeling when you can leave your old belief at the roadside".

Hailing from the UK, Steve Kelley began almost 20 years ago as a DJ having played for some of the largest and respected brands in dance music. 

With his new release on Sublease Music, he dials back the years to pay respect to the originators. 

Back to The Old School is a party jam that harks back to the classic house sound of the 80s and 90s with drum rolls and thick, groove-laded loops and fun crowd noises. 

House Music is cut from the same cloth - a driving, no-nonsense beat supports a bubbling, acidic baseline before various blips, bleeps and an old school vocal add the dynamics.

It´s always nice when artists return to the Amber family with new productions after a long time. This is also the case here.

After his debut in 2022 with melodic techno, Gleb Bykox now returns to Amber Blue Recordings and has further developed his sound. With his latest production, he now moves more into the genre of indie dance. A bit more monotonous, rough and reserved at first, "Bubble Gum" shows its true class on the dancefloor. Absolutely to the floor and driving, which is not immediately apparent.
