Based around a Stewart Copeland-inspired drum part it's in the style of late 70's Rock-Reggae which I think perfectly complements the bitter lyrics.

On the Street, the first song on my new CD, Less is the New Black.....

Inspiration comes in many ways...  This song is based on the idea of a chance meeting...  But to create the mood of the tune, I chose a memory from the night I met the love of my life...  I saw her from a distance long before she saw me, and I thought, "I knew that I'd love her"...   I asked the band to imagine we were playing on a street somewhere, to no one.....   I hope it creates a picture or two in your own heads...
