Die Dresdner Clubkultur ist vielfältig und leuchtet weit über die Stadtgrenzen hinaus. DAVE – Dresden Audio Visual Experience – versteht sich als Podium, um einmal im Jahr die hiesige elektronische Subkulturszene in all ihrer Vielfältigkeit zu präsentieren.

Dabei denkt DAVE Clubkultur anders. Seit 2014 tritt das Festival an, um den Alltag der elektronischen Musik in Dresden aufzubrechen und deren Grenzen neu zu verschieben. Es sorgt für Bewegung und Begegnungen in der Dresdner Clubkultur. Dazu baut DAVE elektronische Klanglandschaften an vertrauten, aber auch außergewöhnlichen Orten. Menschen werden zusammengebracht, die sich sonst kaum zum kulturellen Austausch treffen. 

Zudem werden einzigartige kulturelle Erfahrungen geboten, die der Stadt offenbar gut zu Gesicht stehen. Immerhin wurde das Festival 2016 mit dem städtischen Förderpreis ausgezeichnet. DAVE findet zwar in Dresden statt, zeigt sich aber ausdrücklich offen gegenüber Künstler*innen und Projekten aus anderen Städten oder Ländern. Plattformen wurden geboren, die Profis und Nachwuchskünstler*innen dazu befähigen, selber spannende Projekte zu gestalten und auch aktiv bei DAVE mitzumachen, egal ob in musikalischem oder visuellem Rahmen. Das vielfältige Programm, das Jahr um Jahr erweitert wird,  ist deshalb nicht nur abwechslungsreich, sondern auch lehrreich. 

Für die Programmgestaltung sorgt ein weit verzweigtes Netzwerk von ehrenamtlich tätigen Akteurinnen und Akteuren der Dresdner Kultur- und Musikbranche, die eine gemeinsame Leidenschaft und jede Menge Idealismus vereint.

RollWithSoul is a project around singer Tina Slotta and DJ Fabian Leuchtmann from Dresdens drum and bass crew "high finesse".
If it comes to Drum & Bass in Dresden, Fabian Leuchtmann is one of the senior members. He bought his first records in 1993 and presented his love for Drum & Bass and Jungle only one year later to the club scene in Dresden. Inspired by the sounds of for example Makoto & Deeizm, Calibre or Marcus Intalex he sticked to the liquid tunes until now. Always appreciating the collaborations with singers and mc's, he set up a series of party's with "Singing Paula Herself" and made close contact to MC Mike Romeo. He describes his sound as "rollin disko". His selection is always deep, soulful, funky or jazzy. With the High Finesse Crew he hosted lots of party's which made Fusionjungle and Liquid Drum & Bass become popular in Dresden. Since 2001 he is one of the owners of the record store "Fat Fenders", that is not only known for electronic vinyl but also for being Dresden's local hotspot for the whole scene.
Before Tina slotta committed herself to electronic music she spent lots of years singing in various soul, jazz and funk bands in Leipzig. In Dresden she first made friends with artists from deep house label "uncanny valley" and recorded vocals for them. After the release of C-Beams "strollin", several live vocal performances with Sandrow M. and Break SL aka "C-Beams" followed. Finally after being a long time passive observer of the drum and bass scene, she discovered the sound of the High Finesse crew in Dresden. Especially Fabian Leuchtmanns sets made her revive her love for Jazz, Soul and R'n'B and bring it back to the clubs.
And the result is now RollWithSoul: lovely studio and live sets with rolling, liquid tunes, sweet melodies and lots of heart and soul.

I havent posted a track in a million years, but am actively still producing privately.  As a dubstep producer, I tend to aim for tracks that are somewhere between hard and gritty.  What I usually end up with, however, is something between gritty and chilled out.  Dubstep is not for everyone, and my personal flavor of dubstep is for even fewer people.    Music is not my career, but rather, a passionate hobby.  I know I will never be famous, and I do not care.  I do this for me.  I am my own biggest fan, and my own worst critic.  I have been making hip-hop beats casually for over a decade.  Then i  discovered Dubstep, and it was love at first listen.

I always have a bassline or a melody running through my head, and I make tracks as an outlet for that constant stream.  I also produce because the process moves me.  When I am producing, I am in another world.  Each track is born out of a particular mood or feeling, and when I listen to the tracks months or years later, I am drawn right back into the mood of that time, for better or worse.  I began putting my music online because I figured if I can move myself with my music, then perhaps it can also move somebody else.  I am thrilled to see so many people enjoying my music.

My current setup revolves around Ableton Live.   I use a Beringer 49-key keyboard and an Akai MPK Mini pad-keyboard.  I also own a Novation Launchpad (which admittedly gets little use.  Most drums are done on a Mashine Mk2. To create my basslines and synths,I mostly use NI Massive + Kontakt.    I have no formal training, and learned all I know by experimentation and online tutorial.
