Submarine has a very un-traditional mid section bridge where I essentially just shout from the top of a mountain top with a growling guitar and a bit of heart.   The change in song style and tempo at this point dis-orient because I felt like walking outside the expected lines of a traditional ABABCB song arrangement. The slow burn build has impact because it smolders, swells, intensifies and then goes boom; literally. In the end, why is the middle so behind?  I just do not know.

Moment One

A couple of months ago, Rodolfo Planes from Tierra del Fuego sent me a wonderful piece of music (in a different key and without lead guitar) that he hoped I’d write lyrics for… 
I was so excited that the first verse popped into my head almost straightaway, and with great patience and honesty, Rodolfo lead me through the learning curve that would be the gestation of this song.
The passionate music somehow stirred in me a sense of longing and belonging, combined with the enforced isolation from loved ones during lockdown. I think Rodolfo’s music helped me express this powerfully.
His solo still continues to move me even after countless listens. I am very grateful to him for this opportunity and I sincerely hope we can work on other projects.

I`ve always liked to walk late at night while the city sleeps,I like the quietness.But as time goes by,weeks,months,while navigating through these Rivers of Stone,a voice appears in my head,quietly at first,but encreasing in loudness as time goes by,to the point it becames unbearably loud and I cant ignore it anymore.The natural sounds of this sintetic forest gets too much for me.The voices scream "Natura",nature in latin,its nature calling me..I need music as old as the planet,music billions of years in the making,ever changing,sung by the wind and the trees,by the ocean and the birds by the storms and the critters that all seem to sing for me...the perfect orchestra...the perfect symphony.

Playing live and writing & recording in Nelson New Zealand - began recording in 2004 once technology was available to make CDs using industry standard equipment at home. In Dec 2012  DUNEDIN SOUND reached  no. 26 on NZ on Air "The Audience" chart. In December 2015, RIP OFF THE SCAB and DREAM DESTINATION were selected by a US A&R agent for promotion to artists, In July 2017 - HIGHEST ROOM also picked up by a US agent for promotion. July 2018 DON'T YOU TURN AWAY selected by NY agent to promote to a London soul singer. August 2018 LOVE MY LIFE assigned to BuyNZ audiovisual advertising. December 2018 WHERE CIGARETTES FALL forwarded by Taxi.com to US TV music director. Latest 3 albums seek to marry singer songwriter Imagery with multi-harmony musical movement. 2024 FLOATING INTO WONDER and ECCENTRICITY SO BEAUTIFUL got airplay on a New Foundland radio station. Dec 24 FAKING IRONY and COLLECT the MOMENT have have gotten a foothold in Spotify.
