Ha - thanks for providing the chord progression in the lyrics - starlings have battles too I guess - I tend to misread things too and that can lead to some interesting thoughts

Nice song, I have twenty or thirty starlings visit my garden for food nearly every day and yes they do squabble a lot.

We humans have turned an ancient oasis to a modern desert ravaged by cancer-causing storms ...  this is the story of the Aral Sea.

The song is about an ordinary Guy, could be you and I, He has no wings, he's good and he's bad, he's human not an Angel but when you need someone he is the one who is there for you in your hour of need and always will be , because he's  Solid. He's your friend .

There's a fantastic 70s leaning pop-rock album  Ticket to Shangri-La  released in 2023 (Young Gun Silver Fox) with a song called Starting Wars. I miss heard and mis-read the title as Starling Wars which seemed a great metaphor for something. It could have applied to a relationship - but the 2 wars going on became the theme

Latest 3 albums seek to marry singer songwriter Imagery with multi-harmony musical movement. 2024 FLOATING INTO WONDER and ECCENTRICITY SO BEAUTIFUL got airplay on a New Foundland radio station. Dec 24 FAKING IRONY and CAUGHT UP IN A WAR have have gotten a foothold in Spotify.
