Way out in the wilds of Central Asia, on the Kazakh-Uzbek border, lies the toxic remains of a dying sea ... the Aral Sea. For thousands of years, this sea was a life-giver, bringing food, trade, and civilization. Covering an area the size of Ireland, it was the fourth largest freshwater lake in the world. But then, in the middle of the 20th Century, something happened. An irrigation project went wrong, depriving the sea of vital water. In its place came toxic chemicals, poisons, and shores of unbreathable dust. Today, the sea is so deadly it’s been called the Silent Chernobyl.
We humans have turned an ancient oasis to a modern desert ravaged by cancer-causing storms ...  this is the story of the Aral Sea.

But it never saw the sun

‘till you moved your lips on mine ..

For it never knew what people do

Now I know that cantankerous old coot C J Hopkins used the very same words to describe the current rift in the western world but I can verify that I wrote the lyrics to this song a good month before he did, he just says it much better, and I will quote him here;

"Yes, there is a divide. A great divide. A chasm. A schism. A gulf. An abyss. A gaping, yawning, unbridgeable fissure. A Grand Canyon-sized fault in the foundation of society. A rupture in the very fabric of reality."

This is a cover from Paul McCartney and Wings, from 1975 album, Venus and Mars, and this album was supported on their 1976 Wings over America tour. They always opened with Venus and Mars/Rockshow
     Ken sent Josh and Tez an email a few months back, about maybe covering this awesome rocker, after we released “Hello World." Before responding, Ken reposted his cover of "Richard Cory," a Simon and Garfunkel cover, sung by Denny Laine and Sir Paul on the Wings Over America triple live album. Stephen commented that “Rockshow” was one of the first songs he learned on guitar. Ken said, “Well, here’s your sign!" He freaked and invited Stephen to immediately contact Josh.
     We finished everything but the vocals by early June, but were stuck on lead vocalist. Several of the collective gave it a go, but nothing sounded right. Then came a late game idea. We had all been following and fans of The Mysterious Decibel for quite some time, so we asked him if he'd be interested in singing it. He was game, and really delivered what so many could not. He is a new, welcome addition to our mix. You'll also hear Stephen, who also accomplished the herculean task of mixing and producing this song, very ably play the entire song on the guitar, with Tez playing the ripping leads. 
  We hope you enjoy our labor of love that has been an entire summer in the making.

The Strange-Tundra Opera.

Written by strange-tundra composer Xxhe using the sounds of ice, wind, choir, vocal recordings, breathy synthesizers, and orchestral instruments, the Strange-Tundra Opera is not just music, but a grandiosely garmented and glacial tale.

Following creatures made entirely of light whose language can only be sung and is unpronounceable spoken, their language fills the music of the opera ethereally and sometimes painfully.

Composed at the age of seventeen, the music is simple and wind-heavy yet iceic and haunting.
